- Fathis Ulven was an assassin who had the misfortune to work for the wrong client. He spent over a century imprisoned in the darkest depths of the imperial city dungeons, before being shipped to Morrowind. There he eventually became the archmagister of Great House Telvanni, and the Nerevarine of prophecy - a reincarnation of the ancient war leader of the Dunmer people, Indoril Nerevar. Beneath Red Mountain he slew the devil Dagoth Ur, and took the fabled Heart of Lorkhan, using its divine energies to become a god, just as the Tribunal had done before him. Then, however, things suddenly all went a bit wrong...

Don't worry Dave. If you're not aware, the Ivory Dragon Claw needed for the second door in Reachwater Rock is obtained from the College of Winterhold questline, so you didn't miss it.
The interior overhauls are very detailed, but they tend not to consider the financial state that Skyrim is in, let alone Arnleif and Sons, specifically. It's supposed to be all run down and struggling, but modders always make it really pretty.
I love how (justifiably) full of himself Fathis is. "Well of COURSE I'm Dragonbon; I could've told you THAT!"
It's like he said, it's in the Prophecy, and lets just say Dave isn't the first to claim the Nervearine was dragonborn.

Hmm, Fathis has the dragon blood and was around for the Oblivion crisis... too bad for Cyrodiil that he was wandering around Morrowind playing Neravarine. Otherwise they wouldn't have needed to faff about with Martin Septim.

I’m gonna miss Jeremy Soule’s compositions in Elder Scrolls 6, they really have a certain magic to them that I don’t think Inon will be able to match
Btw the thane weapons can be altered in case you didn’t know so grestsword can be regular sword etc at blacksmith forge
All those doors made me think of Yosemite Sam, was waiting for some ancient nordic explosives after the last one

I really appreciate this slow and steady type of playthrough. Fired up Skyrim for the first time since November. My character is level 60 or something and I'm looking at the screen like "do I even want to play?" My character has 400K septims, tons of stuff, I finished Legacy (which is great btw) but I just always run into this "Do I keep going or stop" kind of issue.
I think next time I play I really need to consider just taking my time and enjoying the journey
That nordic ruin you started this episode in is part of the Forbidden Legend quest; the final area in fact. Also, should you be unaware, you'll need to go to a cave north of where you found Red Eagle's sword to finish it's quest and be able to remove it from your inventory. Yes, quest locked items with weight *do* take carry weight capacity... which is why I have always thought quest locked items should be 0 weight to begin with.

Dont know if you are intersted Dave but there is a good hair mod that changes the hiar but it just looks like improved hair. it is called Vanilla hair remake

In order to unlock the door pay attention to the story walls in the barrow it reveals things or you could go with the tride and true method of just using a method of deduction you have to Also use the same claw on the puzzle
Typically here's how some people solve it just stick with one piece go down slide it over then move down and repeat so say you got dragon the wolf then snake or something but from what I've seen in the videos it is kynereth who is the freedom God of sorts inlvoing wind so eagle..a dragon priest for a dragon on one the other is a mystery to me
As to what order that's where the method of figuring out where everything goes be warned the walls will shopt flames if you get the Incorrect combination and have to wait about a second or more

I know you don't like people recommending mods, especially in the middle of a playthrough when you already have your mod order set and locked in, but with the issues you have with Carry Weight...stemming in good part from your insistence at carrying multiple sets of armor...I'd still at least like to mention the Bandoliers - Bags and Pouches Classic mod. Partly because I feel like Fathis would indeed be the kind of Mer who would have a couple of potion vial holders and some "utility pouches" on his belt for his little magical doodads, and also to help give you just a *little* bit more capacity to work with and ease your burdens somewhat.

Dave's mod list has proper unique weapons for becoming Thane of each hold, but the way they're added is that once the vanilla weapon (which is just a renamed generic enchanted weapon) is added to your inventory, the mod detects it and swaps it out. I think it's that way for compatibility with other mods (like Unbound, which can let you skip the whole Whiterun bit of the main quest, including not being Thane and has the greybeards summon you whenever you first kill a dragon)
Also, I believe arrows with weight is just a change made by survival mode, same way Fallout 4 survival mode adds weight to bullets

I believe you mean the Ivory Dragon Claw. The Coral Dragon Claw opens Yngol Barrow.

So you did a "Skyrim"playthrough without Thieves Guild,Dark Brotherhood and 3 Daedric artifacts?What did you do? I already don't see you getting the Gaulder Amulet because you're busy chasing modded junk instead of playing the real game.That would be OK if it was still vanilla,but personally I am disappointed because so many other playthroughs ignore the new Creation stuff in favor of the old LE type mods.Just have to enjoy it myself I guess. I'm OK with cosmetics and small additions,but people are pig-headed about not using Creations,( the exception being memey and getting The Bow of Shadows,which I now hate)even though they are amazing.Your visual mods are better than average so far, still immersive.For Example.One Creation Fathis should appreciate is the return of Sunder,Wraithguard and Keening(in it's full power),something he should know more about than the average Nord.
