    My favorite railroad of all time. I would have so enjoyed being alive in the postwar era when the Central was quite a showpiece. Thank you for uploading this video!

    Excellent collection of films. Although I live in UK, I've been interested in US railroads for a year or 2. I would love to have ridden on the Century Limited back in the day.

    In the section labeled "Albany" sneaks in a view of the train shed and head house of Indianapolis Union Station at about the 37:03 mark. This view is from the east.

    SORRY Dr. Rudolf, your day is OV LOOK at the rest of the civilised world, the Trans-Siberian in Russia ER! R.I.P.! Diesel NOW!!!!!??????? NO!!!!!!!!!! We MUST go ELECTRIC (from green sources of stationary powerplants with pantograph and catenary! LOOK AT JAPAN The JR (JapanRail) is in my opinion is THE BEST railway system on this planet!

      And where does the electricity come from for these railroads? Not out of thin air… From burning fossil fuels is the answer! Diesel locomotives are the most economical way to move freight
