As someone who’s not normally into Lego Star Wars I really like the new Star Destroyer set, everyone complains about it being too small but honestly that’s what I really like about it. I feel like most Star Wars sets, or the ships at least, are just way too big to fit into any reasonable space without getting designated shelving or specialized mounts. This new one hits the sweet spot of being big enough to fit nice detail and a make for a decent size play set, but small enough so I actually can find a place to put it in my collection
I second this. I might even buy it as one of the only spaceships.

I agree it’ll sell very well. But the original submission to me was way better looking. The version Lego made looks very childish and cartoonish.

I like how the new Star destroyer kept the play feature from the 2014 version where you could move the cannons side to side with the little sticks on the back
It is not the same castle as the newer £350 one,
The newer one is a repaint of the older one, but it is the SAME castle, the set is based on Florida’s Walt Disney World’s Cinderella Castle. Both of the versions are the same castle before and after Walt Disney World redecorated it. In reality its the same in Florida, Tokoyo
This is a totally different castle- based on Disney Paris’ and DisneyLand California’s castle based on sleeping beauty. This castle is mirrored in California, Paris and Hong Kong
The gumball machine looks like something that would work better in a Lego Store than in someone's home. The steamboat is pretty cool though.

I would definitely have got that Start Destroyer if this was a few years ago. But now that they're doing the midiscale sets, I'll wait and hopefully they'll make one for that line

I know right. It's so dumb.. I'm all for stuff being mini figure scale like the AT TE and the coruscant gunship but the new imperial star destroyer, the Sith infiltrater and the AAT tank from 2020 are all cartoonishly small.
I actually like the smaller versions, easier to display them on shelves. The smaller size is the only reason I’m interested in the new Star Destroyer. I had 6209 Star Destroyer but sold it because it was so big and cumbersome, I would always hit it while by it and knock something off.
It’s all about money. They make more money selling more sized sets. Get used to it
Petition will do nothing, only thing to stop something from being made is poor sales and that star destroyer is going to sell so damn well.
Stop Star Wars sets altogether. The brand is dead. Spread the ashes and move on to old themes
I don't think this round of Lego IDEAS were that inspiring in general, so I don't begrudge the final choices. The next rounf looks much more promising in terms of the selection.
I just hope TLG don't reject the Pixar lamp and ball idea, only to release a suspiciously similar set under a different banner a few years later... 🤔
