DETHATCHING with Agri-Fab tow behind dethatcher

- This video was filmed back in April but I am just now getting around to editing and uploading. This is my parent's zoysia lawn. We wanted to dethatch this zoysia as it had not been done since my parent's bought this house. Hopefully we will be dethatching it more often, even if it is a lighter dethatching but more often. We are using an agri-fab tow behind dethatcher. I was a bit skeptical at first because it seems a bit flimsy. However, it got the job done. The Clemson university zoysia guide suggested using a dethatcher with wider tine spacing that what I would use on Bermuda. I bet zoysia would be fine with a normal dethatcher but I didn't want to screw anything up and we wanted to leave this at the house anyway.

🥰
Makes me appreciate my small patch. Definately a group effort on that place. Good Job fellas.
Brandon Hatten
Family time 😁
Def be thankful for the small patch. Sometimes I enjoy having a large lawn but get jealous when I see people have smaller yards that are much easier to work in.
That snake is beautiful. I hope you left it unharmed to live its best life in your garden! I've been detaching for years and it really promotes a healthy lawn.
Always nice seeing a woman trim the bush
hey now....
pervert
G W i love a woman who does yardwork. Get your mind out of the gutter
@@Jjredred exactly I'm sick of always doing the bushes LoL
Tis true 😆
Beautiful piece of property !!! Looks awesome.
Scott O'Hare
Thanks! Love this spot
One of your very first videos I watched when your channel was new was when you all were at the lake house. The place looks like a lot of fun!
The Lawn Guardian
It’s a great spot 😊
Thank you for saying "let's go" because I weep silently when it's not included
Agreed, like it's not even a real lawn tools video without it.
Kyle S 🥰
How dare you steal! 🤣 Great video Tools. 🤙🏾🌱
Turf Therapy
Thanks Rob!
Sometimes it's the simplest tools that make the biggest impact. And the rake worked great too! 😂👊👍
The Lawn Shark 😂😂
Snakes are terrifying! I've never seen anything like that dethatching attachment before. For being so inexpensive looking it was crushing the lawn! Left tool is hilarious! Fun video once again! #mtlfa
The Neighbor Dominator
Yea Left Tool is and always has been the funny one 😁

Vinny Pinatelli

Damian Wolfe
Nice!
Agri-Fab Dethatcher is a good product. Just got done dethatching my acre.
Very nice Let’s go. I think one of you tools should have brought the drone. That mulch would have been a nice accent from above. Don’t send me into withdrawals....keep them coming.
John Hamilton
😁👍🏼
Nice work. I'd like to see it after a application for some fert!
Adam DeMars
And heat
Ego electric equipment rocks. Nice property. Cheers dude
IMOWLOW
Cheers!
Crazy! You basically built that Agro unit. So many parts...Yikes!
🌞 I was hoping to see Left Tool standing on the dethatcher taking a ride! He wasn't wearing an Alabama Crimson Tide t-shirt was he? 😂
No that is an Arkansas Razorbacks t-shirt
George Schwarz
This guy knows!
@@WPS-se9dq Same thing.
@@TheLawnTools Wooo Pig Soooie
First comment. Dude i have a brinly and it works awesome for me. Only reason i never bought an electric dethatcher.
Ned G
Pretty similar to this one eh?
@@TheLawnTools yup. Same design
Damm let's go crappie fishing.......nice lawn!
How fast were you towing it at? Good video I got one included with a used mower purchase I was thinking of selling it or giving it away but now I think I'll keep it!
Hey fellas. The lake house is looking good. Now all it needs is Ryan Gosling and ur set. That rake worked a treat hey?
The Green and Gold Life 😂
Yea it worked pretty well!
Curious what your thoughts are on Agri-Fab's Smart-Link multi-platform setup? I'm researching that as a future purchase down the line. In regards to the pavers you have as your weight, I'd get a couple of cement blocks. Plus, since they acquired Superior Tech, think their products will get better?
That was a HUGE snake… No thank you! Those tow behind dethatchers are pretty legit for the money.
mark lester
Yea we Tools are NOT snake fans. My mom will pick them up all the time. Weirdo
Getting ready to snip one of those dethatchers in behind my eXmark walk behind. Going to ride on it like a velke and use my body as the weight. Check your local obits next week
Ben Becker
😮👍🏼

Obits 😂
Jrco used to make front push dethatchers.
$99 at lowes, and $79 at home depot. I am going to get me one, tomorrow.
Just back the truck up into the tree and ill squeeze between the branches and assemble this thing on our huge driveway! Lol
Atticus Finch
Ha I never gave it a second thought. We had to get the truck out of the way for the trailer and never moved it 😂
Git that thatch. Git it! Haha.
Budget Lawns 😂👍🏼
No danger noodles please lol
WPS!
I used to have a game on my phone called my singing monster or singing monsters, The music at the start sounds just like it.
I'll come back when you guy's get serious !!!!!
Please don’t.
can i tow it with a JD gator? looking into buying one of these
Someone say zoysia?
Insane how much it loosened up, didn't look to be doing much from the video. Who was the first one to test out the lake??
Koven Carlson
Will let you know tomorrow! 😂
Looks like it was definitely due for dethatching
kenny cooper
Long overdue! I may need to do it again!
Fast forward to 4:40 to get the dethatching information.
Do you think a husqvarna zero turn could pull that dethatcher? Those dethatcher's are $98 at Lowes.
Yes I think it would. Good ole inflation 😬
Can you do more zoysia vids please
Ben Carey
Filming another one at the lake today 😮
@@TheLawnTools sweet my zoysia is 1year old it's my outside baby 🤣
Left tool must not like snakes. How many do you normally see at the lake. More than 10 or less than 10.
MORE THAN NECESSARY!
Over by dare.
Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes??
U can’t go too heavy because u will remove the good grass too
Heavier doesn’t make it go lower, just keeps it from bouncing
Will this also pickup moss?
I doubt it
That's a slithery snakey snake
Mickey Ball
Ha I heard that in my head
3:13 NOOO! Do not use a drill to assemble that!!!
I put together the same product a couple weeks ago... I used a drill with a socket adapter to put it together. It twisted my wrist about 10 times and whipped around and bashed me in the forehead once. After the forehead I got off my lazy butt and grabbed the impact driver...
I would have just burned the yard and the house down as soon as I saw that snake!
Pacific Northwest Lawns
That’s one way to get rid of thatch 😂
That's not thatch just clippings and dead grass sitting on top of the thatch layer. Thatch is literally a soil layer, its made on living material, some dead material but mostly dead material that's turned into organic material from improper mowing, grass dying, most of that material doesn't break down and your left with clippings, brown grass you can see that's matted over, still standing up but dead, that's the material you guys removed, you piece of equipment is only dragging along the the top of the thatch, it doesn't do much, they should of made the tines sharp so they actually dig into the thatch instead of dragging onto. What you removed still isn't good and needs to go
PITTL
Lol sock. It’s
1st!
ReelBob Shady 🏆
Why not pull the dethatcher behind the mower with the bagging system attached? May save some time doing both jobs at once.
I mean… if it was behind the mower then you would have to go around again to pick it up anyway…
First one

😂
It’s Clem”P”son ... 😋
nothing of useful substance for at least six minutes into the video.
Terrible, terrible. You need to find something else to do.
This dethatcher is crap! Can't hook it up to my Zero Turn mower because my hitch is taller than " Plus the angle bracket holding the arm needs two screws to keep it from twisting! Total loss of $!120!
I use one with my JD Zero Turn without issues. Can your hitch be mounted lower?
@@nascarnate326 No it can't! very cheaply made.
Return it 🤯
This guy modded his with simple hardware to handle a higher hitch. Maybe it will work for you? czcams.com/video/EvNe2n3HVyg/video.html
