Can I just say that as a beginner in met detecting, and an absolute lover of all things history related, I am so impressed and inspired by how you guys are able to take what looks to be regular old woods, and paint an amazing picture of what was once there. I aspire to be able to read the land like you do, and I live on property that has at least 3 very old homesteads! No standing structures or anything. So I will definitely be getting out and trying to apply what I've learned watching you all. Might even find some relics while I'm at it. Thanks so much, and keep up the good work!
Amazing how you can spot old homesteads, makes me wonder what I missed during my hunting days
Lots of people moved , not very far , for reasons that we might not be able to see . My grandfather located on a source of surface water , moved later when he dug a well , moved a third time after roads were built to be closer to the road, but all within a half mile
It must feel darn good to find a spot that hasn't been found and hit. Good work.
Some awesome 1700's relics! Have you guys thought about camping on those sites overnight and continue detecting the next day? I would to do that or watch you detect it more. Cheers, Paige C.
1700’s that’s what we call new here in Europe. But nevertheless fun to dig in such a place! 👍
Great buttons for the both of you. Awesome shoe buckle tongue & buckle piece Charlie.
The item with the holes resembles half of a holder for tea leaves for making tea. Definitely Colonial.
I think those are called an "infuser," but yeah, I would bet you're identification is right.
So happy to see you hit a site that is producing. I was beginning to worry you had run out of sites as your finds have been hit and mostly misses lately.
I think you are gonna find a whole lotta wonderful treasures. Thanks for bringing us along. Looking forward to parts 1,2 and 3.
Cool thanks.never get tired of your attitude n ventures.
If you go out in the woods today, you better not go alone, This is the only place around the place so I reckon this is the place. I reckon I reckon which leads to an easy like a Not Thursday
Thank you Digger Dame and Digger Charlie for the adventure , seeing some nice scenery and nice finds ! Take care , stay safe and healthy with whatever you guys maybe doing next !
Downright spooky in there! Has there ever been a 'missing 411' story on two metal detectors who have gone missing?
The magnetic coils in the detectors tend to down the UFO's so they stay clear of them.
That was an awesome day for you guys. Congrats
Thanks so much!
Hello N.T., Great goin' fella's, keep swinging and pinging, dig 'em all as you'll never know what you'll turn up!!! Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 👍👍🙏😇👊
Can't wait for the crew to tear it up & have a fun time... Hugs from Maine
Always nice to see diggers from different parts of the world! Good Luck! 🍀
That was the coolest shoe buckle that you've found , that I have seen. The forked looking one. Congrats
Very interesting site. Gotta love the buttons
Thank you gents,,,
Another great spot found. Enjoyed watching N.T once again 👍
Love your videos. I watch some of them twice. Lol The one with the cannonball was my favorite
I have poked around CT a little bit, near an old farmstead and all I ever found were rifle and shotgun shells and foil wrappers from gum. It's not as easy as it looks. Digging down into dirt isn't like sifting through sand. Plus you have to go in colder weather so the bugs don't eat you alive.
Nice dainty dandy!
Good morning from Northern Colorado!! You guys buttoned things up!! Nice!! T4 S Have a Good one 👍👍😘
The "spoon" with holes looks like the rough side could be for grating things such as nutmeg. Very 18th century looking.
I just joined and really appreciate no power chord loud intro, no What's up YT or Dude, Dude...I like that you two are so chill and great finds! Thank You!!
Thanks for another great NT video! Thanks for sharing! LFOD !!!🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Definately gang up on this site. So far amazing finds.
Nice adventure guy's! Can't wait to see the team go at it!!
Some beautiful finds guys doing great
If I were Digger Charlie the first place I would check with my metal detector would be under the others packs!
Awesome channel guys !!! Nashville here and alot of civil war relics still in the ground. Found my first CSA brass plate 3 weeks ago right in a front yard of a house built in 1955 but we knew the troops had camped there. I subscribed tonight and looking forward to seeing another treasure hunt !!!!
Nashville here as well, though I’ve yet to take the plunge into metal detecting.
Great finds guys love the video
After all those great finds. Can't wait see what else comes from that spot.
The small wall area where you found the button under the large root may be a small barn. I’m a volunteer firefighter. Last Friday I responded to a barn fire. It was a small building with stone walls and large timber. You said a wood shed to maybe. I thought it was too small for a barn. I’m not sure how to research the area for me to rent a metal detector to search the area of the building that had the fire. The structure wasn’t affected by the fire. The leaves and things inside was what burned. The building is surrounded by houses that were built around it. We accessed it with a hose line through two peoples side yards. Another firefighter grew up in the area before the development was built. He said there was only that structure there when he was a kid. He said they used to pay in it.
I love what you guys do too. Enjoying it!
Boy iy would be so neat if you could take a computer and do a program it to show a vison of these places as they looked back in that time . open fields pastures , houses ,barns , roads all those things . It would be amazing to see .
Looking forward to seeing the return. Good luck, happy hunting and take care.
I would love to have places around me to do that. Ya'll are so lucky .
Awesome new find. Looks like my kinda woods here in Arkansas. Very thick stuff here.
That was sweet guys!
Nice finds!
Nice work boys. Great effort.
I love to find some of the old plows parts
Awsome finds
Will Charlie and dame not a bad day for you guys outdoors and stay blessed and see you again on the next episode 👍🙏❤🍺
The spoon bowl may be from what they call a mote spoon.
Sweet location !!
Maybe you can help! Actually I know you can. Lost a gold wedding band(my father's) I bought a pin pointer and a non number registering metal detector. Am thinking I lost it in a friend's truck. How do I tell it is my ring and not the truck? I also carry a magnet seems like I could find something. You are so fun to watch.
I wish we had stuff that old out here in NW Wyoming
Hello guys. you need to comb the area with larger coils. That site is really promising. Well done !
Guys y’all found a cool little spot there. Some nice finds. Enjoyed the video
Great adventure
Ill post it on FB but the developers clear cut my site. Looked a lot like this
These guys are pretty cool. Y’all have earned a sub today 💜
Went out to an old homesite built in the 1840s last month.found allot of wire pieces.nothing really. But while digging under porch found a nice quartz arrowhead. When i go head hunting i find allot of junk metal.
Sweet video
Who would have even imagined there would be a 1700's house there! Good call!👍
There are always hope'es 👍😂👍
Yes Definitely bring reinforcements , How cool shoe buckle corner as last find
One of the comments said something about"Blair Witchy"...
Your posts are a much higher caliber than that trash.I made it through the first ten minutes of that amateur attempt to scare little kids...
I usually can sit through the worst movies ever made, but there's a limit even I can't abide....
Y'all are doing well and I appreciate your posts...I subbed you some time ago.
I don't do that often...
No hoopla.
Just interesting and informative walking around in the woods...And, you actually find relics dating back a couple of hundred years.!
Love it.👋👍
Go getum guys I luv you show an always the finds
That strainer looking thing looks like one of those things you put tea in cool it would be cool to go metal detecting in Salem Massachusetts probably some really old stuff
That's a nice early 1700's site.
Feels very “Blair Witchy” there even watching on a phone screen. Lol
Good video and great close ups
That was some hike through rough ground but you found a wonderful homesite. I wonder how they managed to live in that spot as the surrounding area isn't good for many things. I had to look at the holes out spoon piece and cant think what it was used for, it's a mystery that I hope someone will solve one of these days, I do like a mysterious object lol. Take care and stay safe please my friends, good luck and happy hunting. God bless you all love and hugs to you both and NinJen Mary-Ellen LFOD UK
Might it have been to strain loose tea?
I'm curious as to who owns the land you're searching? Hard to believe there's any piece of ground not owned by SOMEONE! Surprised you're allowed to search, find, and keep what you find. Looks fun!
I just uploaded a whites metal detector video today showing where a cancer patient was left with metal throughout their stomach and lower chest area. The hospitals top of the line x-ray's and CT machine didn't pick up. Or were they trying to hide this from the patent?
The thing with lots of holes looks like it goes on the heel or toe of a boot...8.53...
I'm always amazed by these finds because America is always said to be a young country. And yet there are so many places that have remains of prior civilization even if they were the early Americans. So many homes have been built and then torn down by the next generation. It would be nice if the next generation would have things easier because of all the labour put in by their father and grandfather.
In a quest for relics of the past and yet you just totally ignore all those Bigfoot structures .... lol
Rat Tail pewter spoon handle. Nice.
Fisher seems to be a great detector, how would you rate it over others? Awsome area, wish I were there looking for treasures.
Wayneos needs to see this site
Those people were "off the grid", even by colonial standards.
I don’t recall ever seeing a button with the shank off center.
15:53 you had a “visitor” float by the shot. Reminds of the “cough” you heard but couldn’t pinpoint. The woods are mysterious.
I was thinking the same thing.
Some of those tree bends on the way in look reminiscent of what a BF does.
Hey guys ohio here good mornin
Digger Charlie could the item at time marker been used as a strainer spoon like some spoons today that has holes in them ! It would be interesting to see what you find out about it ! If you can find anything about it ! Nice find !
It looks like the inside of a coffee percolator
At 15:55 you have a ghost go right to left at the bottom of the screen
If that is the only livable space, I would think with the size of those trees, they aren't very old. If what they find is hundreds of years old, most of those trees weren't there, back then.
Great fun, though.
Nice!👍👍
Did there used to be a button factory on that site?
Cool, how far to town? so these folks that lived in these places was it just subsistence farming or did they grow harvest and produce enough to send to market? It looked like your romp in was pretty occluded did you see evidence of cart road? so fricken cool..
Do you have any theories on why so many buttons are found?
Is there a trick to how you sweep and have it go beep 3-4 then stop
Nice to find a spot not hit. I must be out of the loop, but whatever happened to Keebs?
Krebs has his own music and fun channel and I think its called Mr Keebler. Hope this helps you good luck my friend Mary-Ellen LFOD UK
How come you guys never scan the walls? Have u determined it's not worth it?
I like this place...but at the same time I dont wanna go back 😬
Really looks like the land iwas logged about ten to twenty years ago, or had a fire. The trees are fairly scrawny.
.....and that land looks like it would be near impossible to farm; thin, poor soil and any place where hemlock trees are growing is sure to be poor land. This is the opposite of fertile bottomland.
I guess loosing buttons was a common accurance of those days.
Where can I find that T handled shovel???
Why are so many buttons often found? Is is because clothing was often thrown away by the colonials>
Everything you found was very old.
Hope you know how to get back.
Charlie , l’m curious to know where Jen is ?
Why do you guys never detect the bottoms of the huge old trees you know settlers rested against the base of old trees where coins had a chance to fall out of pants pockets, good luck detecting great show fellow
Of course it's always dead nuts under the root. Every damn time. lol.
