The feather “flower” looks like it’s a juju hat, which I have wanted one for a long time. The one you found is amazing and the color is one I haven’t seen before. So so good!! I love all things feathers and fur!!

I think you should move the tapestry else wear and go back for the quilt you loved & drape it over your bench! It will tie all of your colors together, including the pink of your chair.
The tapestry was a great find but it's competing with the large piece of art.

Through all the lockdowns in the UK, I walked in the countryside... miles and I collected vast amounts feathers...all different colours....I might make something like this with them!

Maybe put tapestry/blanket on the bench you are sitting will add a pop of color to the bench.

maybe drape the tapestry accross the long bench (at an angle) to have some contrast against the dark wall.

I not only admire your taste & your styling vision, I also admire your self-control. The quilted tapestry and brass art-deco sconce light must have been very hard to pass up. I still feel like you would find a great use for them in your home. I'd be curious to see if you go back for them...

Your beautiful feather flower piece, is a juju hat. They originate from central Africa, and are used an integral part of royal ceremonies and the like!! What a great find!! 💜

Love the feathered piece, called a juju or sometimes Cameroon headdress, the colour is amazing, so unusual, never seen one in that colour before, wondered if it had been dyed at some point. Such inspirational shopping, curating and styling!!

Do you ever get overwhelmed by all the "stuff" in these stores? You need a good eye to pick out what you like/want from the jumble of things for sale. I think the corner turned out just great!

I have a larger version of that basket that I have been using as a table since late 70's. From that import store that used to be so popular.

I saw those awesome chairs at the Salvation Army. I want the yellow ones. Hoping they’re still there. Trying to talk my husband into getting rid of an ugly black chair he has and replace with the yellow chairs in our guest room
What about hanging the feather flower on top of the art behind the bench and take down the tapestry? Just an idea to show case that beautiful piece. Just hang it with a string of some type.
