    These are slow growing. If you plant them shy of the top of you potting mix you can train them into small Bonsi plants.

    dose the pot have a hole at the bottom?

    I just repotted mine and it gets direct sun behind a window - it has lost a good number of green nubs and its dry and brown at the base.. is it dying? How do I save it?

      Hi I’m also new to this plant but it sounds like it needs more water? Have you been watering it? How’s the soil you’re using? Is it fast draining?

      when it grows its brown do let it fool you as it grows will turn green but its not dead

      I did the same by cutting off the dead ones. Later I realized they grow new ones that way! So don’t take out the whole piece. Just cute the top where the spine is. It reminds me of the conophytums, how they crow the brown crust type husk and produce new…

      @@sarahharter5297 great advice thank you! Mine is actually doing very well now. Think it needs a dormant period out of the sun? Where I love it will be freezing temperatures the next couple months but there will still be some sun
