This archon quest was the best initial one from a new region by far. The plot was so good, Hoyo brought dark themes and worked with them so well. Honestly, Vacher had exactly what he deserved. He destroyed dozens, if not hundred of families. It doesn't matter how pure it is his objective nothing justifies that.
I quite like monstadlt Dragon and the bard. With contaminated tears drop which can pollute archon as well. Straight to abyss story plot and characters like venti all five stars we know involving in fighting darkness
he is literally Genshin version of Otto Apocalypse man blinded by his love and passion for his lover that they willing to do crimes unspeakable for them without thinking what they would think about them
I was thinking of Gendo Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion. He wanted to merge all of humanity into a single consciousness, just so he could reunite with his wife, Yui. But little did he know that she wanted him to not grieve for her and to live for their son, Shinji. It was only too late, when the Third Impact and the fruits of the Human Instrumentality Project were well underway, when he finally realized that.
No matter how sad his backstory was, that did not excuse his actions of purposefully taking away the future of innocent young women! And destroy the future of others by creating substances that give the victims an unbeatable addiction! All because he simply wanted his beloved back and prove that she did, in fact, turn into water, but he did not provide proof of the Primordial Sea Water's existence 20 years ago when he discovered it. However, the only way he could've proved the dangerous water's properties long ago would've been to dissolve a fontanian in front of the court or public, but that would've made him a murder either way.
ya know, throughout the quest i kept thinking to myself, "where do i hear this name before...vacher...hmmm." and then i was flipping thru a serial killer profiling textbook and there he was, joseph vacher, the french version of jack the ripper. the details they put in this game, seriously!
Anyways, the people sort of contributed in his upbringing...he said about how even Maison Gardes or something like that laughed at him, or Fonatine's court being more of an opera to the people

If he announces his moves, and can't make countermeasures, he's extremely dumb...the "coward" part from the oceanid is more of some rant that stems from hate with flooding passion, which makes sense from them, considering how much he did to them
If savings someone you love is worth sacrificing countless people do you think they will accept you for the what you have done. that why vacher was so desperately trying to save her that he doesn't know what she feels thus get kill but the victims he taken.

i bet childe is guilty cause his sense of justice has wavered and he lost his vision because of it whatever the oratrice is operating on, it must have something to do with your worthiness of a hydro vision
