Ahh!! Nashville!?! We’re so close! ☺️ I’m so excited that y’all are here! Wish I would’ve been at that ALDI! Are you having a meet-up?!
I've just posted a long comment here, but noticed that you have 1100 comments, so you'll probably not even notice mine! :( all that time wasted ... with 1 finger on my Tablet! 😢😢
@@wendyfay16 I’ll track it down!!
I deleted the 2nd Comment I'd made as it referred to the other person & I also didn't want it to be seen by other ppl.
I want to go shopping with Dawn again!!! We had the best time!
Try Knoppers!! They are a German snack. Very delicious!!
That is so cool! I love both of your channels !
Gnomes and cardigans are still in! And even if they aren't I still love them!
I guess I'm pretty gullible, I actually bought the intro bit.
YOUR BOTH SO FUNNY AND CREATIVE. AND WE GET MANY MANY GREAT IDEAS FOR A BETTER LIVING. THANKS TO YOU BOTH!!! GOD BLESS YOU LADIES!!!!
I have been a die-hard Aldi shopper for 30+ years. I agree with most of your “don’t buys”. But some of those we don’t buy at all. (Protien bars. Soda water. Etc)
HOWEVER: the “aisle of shame” CAN be amazing. I have found some great steals there before. I just bought the little step-stool seat/storage cube for my daughter’s dorm there: HALF the price of Amazon. You just have to keep your minimalist mindset in that aisle. Oh, their 3-wick candles are great! So much better priced than Bath&Body Works. They have a cult-like following.
As Christine said: Aldi is a fabulous place to do you basic weekly staples. I do the vast majority of my family’s grocery shopping at Aldi.
Now Dawn, please do a “what to buy at Aldi” video. Take us shopping with you and show us what you DO buy at Aldi. If you are ever in Chicagoland, I’ll go with you! We can be “Dawn Squared”! 😊❤😂
I am a devoted ALDi shopper, but the prices are a lot higher now and not as competitive as they used to be. Love the European products, though!
The Aisle of Shame?? We call it the Goodie Aisle!!!!!!!!!!
Want to know the beginning of aldi?
Aldi is a German company that was brought to America in the late 70s by a business man named Mr. Neely . He was a wonderful man, the father of one of my good friends. It was started in Burlington, Iowa.
He had invited the mayor and city dignitaries to the grand opening. He had rented a store front in a strip mall next to a Kmart. The morning of the grand opening they opened the front doors at 9 and no one came. No one came for 1 1/2 hours! Finally the door opened and a little old man came in. He was bent over walking with a cane. They were all so excited and ran up to him congratulating him on being the first customer at the new aldi store. He stopped, looked up and said, "This ain't Kmart?" And walked out 😂😂😂
True story. Mr. Neely told me himself.
Shout out to Iowa for being a trendsetter!
Interesting story. Doesn't Aldi mean girlfriend?
🤣 that is an amazing story. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thank your friend for me. I love Aldi and America needed it. 😊
@@cherylwebb8340 Aldi stands for "Albrecht Discount"
Aldi's zip lock bags are the best bargain 👌 I love Aldi also for cheeses and dark chocolate. I do organic for vegetables, and they often have what I want. Other specific items too. 👍
Found that some of their cheese -- especially the shredded kind -- can be hit or miss. Some have a very 'waxy' taste. The Swiss cheese seems to be the best of the bunch.
Buy organic when you can! They actually taste nicer and more importantly organic farming preserves our top soil and is the only long term option for growing food globally
I absolutely love that you and Christine did videos together! I watch both of your channels weekly!
From Aldi I always get pasture raised eggs, Irish butter, ground beef, organic chicken sausages (the best), cheeses, coffee, milk, sprouted whole grain bread.
They have really good all beef uncured hotdogs there, and the brioche buns are delicious!
Bethany, is the Irish butter a good price? Thanks. 😊
The reason some produce is better than others is because you need to be buying what is in season. If you buy off season produce it’s not going to be as good or last as long. Like right now melons are in season, in the fall apples are amazing.
Kirkland brand Irish butter is cheaper than kerrygold if you have a costco!
I love the LaCura face moisturizer at Aldi and it's at a great price. .Also a big hit for me are the Moser-Roth dark chocolate candy bars for $1.99. There are 5 separately wrapped bars in each package - which helps with my portion control. Blessings, Janell
I love those. I like to share the bars because they are individually wrapped
Yes! These are great!
I totaly agree. I have replaced a more expensive Garnier micellair water (with oil and just ordinary one) with Lacura from Aldi. No difference, but much cheaper.
I like the Lacura makeup wipes. They’re a “dupe” for the Neutrogena and work REALLY well, and very reasonably priced.
Aldi ❤ those “pure and simple” bars are actually just dates, nuts, water and salt. So no added sugar- much better than a candy bar! 😋
That’s the only product I buy from that section.
Just a tip everyone, if you don’t have a quarter for a cart, you can ask to borrow one from the cashier and they’ll lend you one ☝️ just make sure to return when you’re done 😊
Great video ladies! Love you both!!
Thank you for letting me know. Sometimes I don’t have any change. 👍🤗
Once in a while, there's a 'free cart' floating around (it has the quarter in the slot, too), and when I come across one, I just pass it on to the next shopper and receive a huge THANK YOU!
I watch both of you and I love both of you. I love the idea of budgeting better, meal planning, and minamizing all the STUFF. You 2 help us moms give such great advice and feel like I can refocus and start again. Sending love to you both and your families!! 💞🥰
The pizza they held up is one of the best take and bake grocery store pizzas I’ve found. Very impressed! Great collab!
Their gluten free pizza is good and cheaper
Ramsey solutions know what they are doing. I have been following Ramsey plan people, Frugal grocery/ lifestyle channels, mom channels, and minimalism/ declutter channels for year. I alsqays said they all intersect and pair well together. Basically how to gey my life together and be an adult channel. 😜 As someone who none of this comes naturally to me I have learned a ton and still have a ton more to learn and implement. You all are such a value to this world. Thank you for all your awesomeness.
Knoppers are from germany i have seen them at Lidl, we have Lidl here in sweden too😊and with the grocery prices nowadays, Lidl is the cheapest store. Love them they have so much other good things there every week, clothes and household items etc.
You guys are great together thank you!
I go there for their Live G Free selections. Most of the gluten free foods they carry are cheaper or taste better than items I can get in other stores.
Love seeing you ladies together! You two are my must watch every video CZcamsrs! 😁
"What is this dip for ants?" 😂 Gotta love Christines movie quote abilities to work it in to everyday life. Important life skill to have. And i am here for it. She is raising her kids right. I love when i hear them doing it to. She is amazing. ❤😊 and Hilarious.
You two are my favorites and to have you filming together is amazing!
Hey Dawn…it was so fun to see you and Christine team up! I enjoy both of your channels. I just bought that square planter pot for $7.49 on sale at my Aldi two days ago! I was so happy.
Our Aldi’s prices aren’t the best for regular items, but we do love their cheese selection and seasonal novelty foods! They had a carrot cake cream cheese dip this Easter that was delish.
I love you two together!!!! You both are such an inspiration and a much needed God sent to my household. God Bless you both and your families!
I really enjoy your videos! You have encouraged me to finally be "okay" with the declutter movement! My husband teases me and always asks, "What would Dawn say?"
Thank you for your encouragement and positive vibes!!!
P.S. We shop SAM'S Club 'all the way' and one chain store for minor things. The have great prices, they have "scan n go" so you can track your spending while there, you get "cash credit" when you scan n go certain items. 😀
Our local Aldis is my favorite place to shop first, then get fill-ins from other stores.❤❤
Produce is always great at my Aldi. Love shopping there. Thanks for all your tips!!
Such a fun video, guys!!! ❤❤❤
Love your channel fellow Minnesota Mama! Here’s a little tip… the reason apples are squishy right now is because all apples are harvested in the fall in the US so all apples that you are eating during the summer were harvested 10 months ago. They are way out of season. Wait a few months and you’ll start seeing signs that say “new crop” meaning picked this year! (And then last years extra will go on sale and are great for baking or sauce!)
I always buy their organic produce and organic frozen veggies. Their organic meat is also good. I love the grain free items as well. Like the coconut cookies.
💯 I shop organic there.
You two are adorable! I love that 2 people I watch separately came together and made a video! How fun!!
Fun to see you two together!
I love Aldi's aisle of shame! We've gotten some great stuff there. I bought a hammock for $13 and my daughter is using the bag it came in for a run around bag. Two for one! Candles are really great. My favorite thing from Aldi's is their Parmesan Encrusted Chicken Tenders. Yum!
The best part of the store!
It IS the best part of the store! I call it the grownup toy aisle 😊
Love this!! I’ve found that Aldi really varies in price and quality across the country. For me in Indiana, if I’m thinking about buying a name brand thing at Aldi I look the item up in my Meijer app (which shows the same prices I’d pay in store), and the name brands are typically $0.50+ cheaper at Aldi. Aldi and Meijer are the two groceries nearest my house, so they’re pretty much the only places I do my grocery shopping 😅
ETA: I love Aldi’a GF take and bake pizzas ❤ Also, any German food items are 100% worth it at Aldi. They’re usually cheap enough it doesn’t matter, but the German items like chocolate and brats are the best.
My two favorite people in two videos together in one week! You have made my week!
8$ a dozen for eggs in Canada. 89$ for a bag of the cat food only 3 kg. Chinette paper plates 36$ for 100 .welcome to canada
Our Aldis in the U.K. seem so different, loo roll, toiletries are much cheaper than elsewhere, but the fruit and veg can be pretty iffy here too. We don’t have anything like big box stores here, so we can only really compare to other supermarkets. I love to see how different the everyday things like food shopping are across the world xxx
I am addicted to the Aldi peanut butter cups! They are wonderful! I have to be careful to only buy them occasionally. When they were out of stock at Aldi, I bought some Reese’s and they weren’t nearly as good as Aldi’s. I think the Aldi ones have more chocolate and the Reese’s may be using more peanut butter filling if it’s cheaper than the chocolate because I used to really like Reese’s.
I totally agree! I think the chocolate ratio is different!
Can you buy these in UK Aldi stores? If so, I'll be in my way asap!
They are our office treat, and are a constant test of my self control. They are different than Reese's, but I like them a lot better.
@@lesleytownson6421 I have no idea. I live in the US.
Ooh that crunch of the chocolate is unreal! 🤤
Ahhhhh!!! I love you two dorks!!
Fun to watch this show. Good info. Ty.
Such a fun video! I second that the Aldi peanut butter cups are the BEST!! Way better than Reeces IMO.
I love Aldi’s. I buy most of my groceries there.
You two are the best!! I love seeing you both together!
I'm really enjoying you two together and your great humor!!
I love the aisle of shame ! Sometimes I go there first at ALDIs
no judgement
Those pb cups are better than Reese's and no wrapper to peel is a bonus!
Fun video. Love my local Aldi. Fun to see others. Thanks!
What a fun video! I love the collaboration. Thanks much, ladies! 👋👋, from MN. 😊
You encouraged me to get a Helix. We just got ours in yesterday. I slept well last night.
I have to say we must have the smallest Aldi around us! Our store is so tiny compared to this one! Also, we’ve cut out a lot of the same things because of how much prices have gone up!
I really enjoyed the two of you together!
I always check the special buys because once in awhile they will have a great price on something I need. I needed a special stool for the bathroom, thought I would have to pay 20 on Amazon and they were much cheaper at Aldis. didn't have to pay by credit card!
what a great combo Dawn and Christine!! I'm so jealous I wish we had an Aldi!
Oral allergy syndrome really is a thing! I developed mine in my early 20s. Apples, peaches, plums, nectarines, rasberries, blackberries. All were things I loved to eat. Luckily there are lots of types of fruit out there.
My husband reacts the most to watermelon, bananas, and avocados!
We shop at Aldi and Walmart. Some things are cheaper at Aldi, some at Walmart. There are some Aldi stores that are better than others, especially with the produce. Ours used to be terrible, but it had gotten a lot better.
Lovely to see u two hanging out. Love Aldi in the UK!!! ❤
This was the best having you two together! I lived in TN for a long time and loved Aldi! Yes, it’s hit or miss on some items but I could get so much more than at Kroger for my weekly food budget. Now I’m in Colorado and dearly miss Aldi. ❤
I love Aldi and Sam's. Great collaboration ladies.
Honestly, I don't buy hardly anything at Aldi anymore. Prices aren't really cheaper anymore so we just buy our preferred items from there. We get limes, tortillas, taco shells, chips ahoy knock off cookies, that's about it, but the pizzas are a good deal.
This was such a fun video. Thanks for Bringing us along. Have fun in Nashville.
Hi Dawn and Christine lovely to meet you both.
I’m in England Doncaster. I shop Aldi but only a few things some veg, some fruit etc etc but watch the dates as not a long life on produce. Always stay away from the middle isles with household items. I’m not cluttering my house up.
Looking forward to more videos.
Thank you ladies
Aldi has such great salmon and guacamole cups! We shop there weekly.
I will say that those PB&J bites are actually way cheaper at Aldi than the Walmart equivalent. And for my wheat allergy toddler, so worth it! So definitely worth it for a gluten free product.
Yes!! Aldi’s GF options are great, and so much more affordable.
Knoppers come from Germany, actually from a company called Storck from a small town called Halle (pronounced Hull-e, not "hell" ;-)). Trust me on that one, it's where I live. They also produce Werther's Originals and several other sweets. If the wind is right, you can smell it when you pass by!
I remember in Texas B4 Blue Bell went all over state and out of state, they had seasonal fruit. The absolute earth shattering peach , strawberry & blue berry..
You ladies crack me up! “Gnomes are going out along with cardigans and maxis.” 😂
Sometimes I’ll shop at Aldi for off brand chip bags, condiments, canned food, and some basic dairy products.
Nowadays we have a good grocery shopping rhythm between monthly Costco trips and weekly Walmart pick ups. We’ve been able to stay on budget shopping this way. We’re also a fellow family of 6 and we were in the ‘4 kids in under 5 years’ club as well. 😅😂 🙌
Are the off brand chips good? Which ones would you suggest?
@@BeautiGirl73 My family likes them! We buy them for gatherings too. They like a variety of the kettle chips, pretzels, sweet potato chips, and tortilla chips. They even have scoop tortilla chips which my kids love.
@@sophiemcneil5280 awesome! Thank you for the recs!!
Not giving up my cardigans and maxis 👵
Dawn likes carbonated flavored waters, but just want you to know that carbonation is bad for our bones. Sorry
I recently started shopping at Aldi. Three things I always buy and I don’t know if they are a good deal: cranberry white cheddar cheese, 8 ounces it’s a round and tastier if you let it warm up a little bit before eating it, and I; cranberry almond chicken salad (1 lb tub); white cheddar - 8 ounce, shaped kind of like a stick of butter.
You two are fun to watch together!!!!
So fun to see you two together!
I'm a big fan of Costco too! Great prices and more and more organic foods every day. Oh, BTW: Knoppers a cookie that originated in Germany. I always buy the organic avocados at Aldi's. They usually beat Costco because they are organic. Also, their organic Jerky is pretty yummy.
I get it, All of a sudden I developed an allergic reaction to Kiwi😢 and I loved them! Makes my mouth and throat itch like crazy!
You guys are fun together!
Thanks ladies!
Banana pudding blue bell ice cream is the best. It actually taste like banana pudding and it has the wafer cookies in it and it's the best part of the ice cream.
Love you guys!!! Was fun to see you both do a video together! Told Dawn she needed to do wedding vow renewal on a budget b/c one video she said she wished she had better photos … y’all could collab and do a wedding on the farm and on the cheap so she can get photos :)
Hello, I hope you're safe over there? I hope this year brings happiness, prosperity, love , and peace all over the world . I would love us to be good friends in honesty and in trust so as time goes on it will bring something great for us in the future, hope you don't mind? I'm Frank Lange from Brooklyn New York, where are you from if I may ask?
That was fun! Thanks for sharing😄
I'm not even a huge ice cream person but when I moved to Texas I started buying bluebell! It is king! So good!
I also shop at Aldi. You have to watch their prices. Great video.
I always buy fancy cheese, milk, and certain produce at aldi. I also buy applesauce, pasta, some condiments (like their organic ketchup) and whole wheat bread there, too!
I enjoy watching both of you already but even more together!
Another collab with Frugal Fit Mom!! Awesome!! Love it!!
The Pure and Simple bars for $4.65 are a good deal for those who eat Lara Bars. Same ingredients as Lara Bars, but Lara bars are $6.98 at Walmart (where I live in WI). Also, they may have what is considered more sugar than other bars, but it comes from fruit and dates, clean ingredients. I mean, you guys are buying the peanut butter cups lol😂
Larabars and off brand versions tend to be super allergen friendly (aside from nuts) because of the simple and short ingredient list!
Wow thx for the tip! ❤️
I was thinking the same thing! They don't really know what healthy is!
@@terrih5497 i got the idea FFM was focused on the fact that it wasn't a protein bar. So she wouldn't eat it but we would LOL 😆 I could point out many things Christine cooks and eats that are not healthy.
I agree! Really clean ingredients. It's not added sugar, but natural.
How do you send a mattress back?? You can’t squish it down again and put it in a box.
ohmy gosh. you 2 together and your laughs.....love it..
You both are great happy Team ❤😂🎉 wish more co-videos
I love a collab. So fun! I never shop at Aldi (Trader Joe’s girl), but I’m willing to try it.
My daughter has a latex fruit allergy. It includes bananas, kiwi, and avocados. The things you learn 😆
Interestingly Trader Joe’s and Aldi are owned by two brothers who split up over an argument about selling cigarettes.
@@angelacross2216 ooo so interesting!
Aldi is the Trader Joe’s of my town…for now. We usually buy only the string cheese, cuz I can’t stand any other brand, and they have tidiculously good prices on yummy ribeye steaks, and ground beef…so much cheaper than anywhere else, rxcept buying my own cow. Their chicken usually beats Christine’s sale hauls for chicken, too. Most stuff there IS convenience store prices, though.
@@mommybreakdown Be on the watch for guava and stonefruit (peaches, nectarines, apricots)
I agree with FFM about the Sam’s club toilet paper! It’s the only thing I still buy in bulk 😂
Me, too. I had actually bought both my kids a case of Sam's Club TP just before the pandemic hit. Best Christmas gift ever!
I love Sam's Club paper towels, also.
Purple TP Rules!!!
@@brendamaun5455 The pandemic is how I discovered it! I went to Sam's in April 2020 for meat and decided to get a pack, just in case people went insane. Fell in LOVE it the TP and it's all I use now!
@@WeberIMayRoam I saw a video comparison review somewhere and Sam's was considered the Best Buy so we have used exclusively ever since.
Hello Dawn, thanks for the video I will be watching Christine from now on.
We call it the “forbidden aisle” yet when I go with my kids and we get separated they usually find me there.
We get the baby squeeze fruit and veggies especially when we have busy summer days. And of course the s’mores ingredients, Thanks again. Blessings to all!
Omg you two are brilliant together. I have a problem shopping it's pick up and run for me or I'll have a panic but even I could stay in the shop for more than a few minutes 😊😊
I recently went in an Aldi and was shocked at how much the prices went up in the last year. I went in to get some frozen veggies and canned goods for my son who just moved in an apartment and they are no longer the cheapest…. On a LOT of items. I guess they’ve become popular??? Idk??? It was disappointing.
I had the same reaction when I went back into a Save A Lot. Wow they got expensive. In our area Walmart grocery is now the least expensive grocery store.
At Krogers you only want to buy the weekly digital coupons items. Forget beef & we live in Kansas with the beef processors.
Ohhh my gosh! I went to Aldi for the first time and it definitely was not less expensive on the things I looked at. Will have to find the pizzas!
It happened in the past year. Something's have doubled. They still have good prices on a lot of things but sale items at regular stores can beat them. Regular prices are regular store a are ridiculous now though too. Like everywhere creeped up. I pay attention to prices so I definitely noticed. Less in my cart for the same amount of money.
I usually only buy bread, buns, natural pb, milk, and pork chops at Aldi...used to buy the protein bars but not now since Fit, frugal Mom educated me what to look for....I need to know what brand is quality protein bars / drinks???
Ugh...so tough to eat right and maintain the budget😮
We have a Aldi and I love them! A lot of their speciality items such as the knoppers are from Germany. Especially around holidays they have a lot of selection.
Welcome to Nashville!! I recently moved here, and your videos have been so helpful in minimizing while moving! Enjoy your trip :)
I so agree with the sam's club toilet paper!!! Best store brand hands down.
Christine going to 12 different stores is okay. 😁 It gives her experience and information which is all good and makes her a professional. 😁 And she will do it less and less as her expertise is sharpened. It is always good to learn. LoL 😂 I’m a fan of both of these women. ❤️ Thanks for the video! 🤩
I live in Garland, TX (Dallas metroplex). I love my Aldi, generally buy most of my groceries from there, and then Walmart for the rest. Price wise it saves me, and I've found the quality to be good. The chips are especially well priced! I do not like their bananas. Kroger for big sales and digital coupon items, good stock up place. Enjoyed seeing y'all together!
Yes! I graduated from Berkner HS in Richardson. My favorite donut shop is in Garland 😜
I love this! I was so hoping there was a collab on this channel as well. ❤️
My 21 year-old daughter has a banana allergy 🍌it's a real thing!
NC Aldi produce is usually too far gone. can never have too many Gnomes 😂
A friend of mine is seriously allergic to mushrooms.
In NY/NJ area, Sam's club is cheaper than Costco or BJs 🤔
Dawn blue bell is the best!!! Especially homemade vanilla on a warm brownie. Yum!
What a fun video! Thanks!! Aldi is my go-to store. One adult living in a small house, Aldi works for me. Sadly I have noticed the rising prices and shrinking packages at Aldi, but also at the Krogers, Meijers, and the WalMarts.
I‘m 49 years old and went shopping at Aldi since I was a little girl (I live in Germany). I nearly stopped it by now, because of the frog (green alliance) on most of its house products. Look it up who stands behind it. Someone in here brought it to a labor and they really found MRNA in all of it 🤢.
Knoppers with a hard k like in cat are from here in Germany. They are delicious 🤪
😳😳😳😳
Could you please clarify which products or even categories were tested that have mRNA?
Do you mean messenger RNA? In cleaners? How?
Messenger RNA should exist in anything that was ever alive. It is used in the production of proteins inside of cells.
@@pamgrace2529 I haven't heard about this at all but my chiropractor told me they are now putting mRNA into some pet medicines. Zoetis is one of the companies doing this.
