I love bill but he's very, very hard to interview. Great work guys
Bill forgot Louie Anderson, Robin Williams and his inspiration, Jonathan Winters. Now I'm worried who I'm forgetting. Moms Mabley, Phyllis Diller, ROSEANNE. Gary Shandling. Dennis Miller and Bill Maher if you like political stuff.
I was so excited about this interview. With Fran and Konny and Billy the Red all together, I thought it would be a scream. It wasn't a scream.
Wow two things I love together. Bill Burr and those two brits. Pretty sure this won't be as bad as H3H3 Ethan Klein's interview.
A friend once told me anger is a good teacher but not a good master. Glad that Bill found more happiness in life. I wished more people could do the same.
Mr. Miyagi?
Too bad he never found any brain cells and was the biggest supporter of Colberts "GET VACCINATED" skit every night.

Bill has helped me climb out of alcoholism and depression. One of the best comedians ever.
Old Billy is always there for you on Monday and Thursday no matter how shitty things are thatâs why we love him
I'm curious how?
@@twelvecatsinatrenchcoat If I had to guess having something else to "get addicted to" helps w the alcoholism. As for the depression I'd say laughter helps a lot in dealing w hardships.
I watched Band of Brothers when I was just entering college. I can't prove it, but seeing the characters in that series have a sense of humor in some of the darkest moments helped me develop my own sense of humor and prob helped me deal w situations I wouldn't have been able to otherwise. At first I only adopted the sense of humor bc I thought it was cool, but later on I think it unironically helped me be a better person and not take yourself too seriously in times of hardship. Everyone goes through these things. You're not special for suffering.
@@shinHis3 i didnt ask for a guess, and I wasn't speaking to you. thanks.
@@twelvecatsinatrenchcoat Well you didn't get a reply after 11 days, so I was speaking to you.
Not responding in any way whatsoever would've been less rude than what you did just now btw. I guess only you get to talk to people unprompted? I'm not allowed that privilege? What a loser.
Billy is comfortable when heâs talking shit, not answering sociopolitical questions. East coast comedians bring the best out in him on podcasts
East coast comedians? Please. As if coasts have anything to do with anything.
Well, this was boring
@@GreenEnvy. they do. West coast comedy isn't the same as east coast.
Billy is a LA comedian in all intention and purpose and has super woke company that attacked white males like all the others. I can't believe how people don't really know him. There is a reason why you see him on Disney shows on Tv Awards or SNL. And he moved from making fun of femminism, to makeing fun of white women, cause she has a black wife and dougther.
He is the cause of the problems, not a commentator.
His standup is almost all sociopolitical crap though wtf are you talking about
"I've got my stand up dates, but that's not work, that's just fun."
This quote made me smile.
Makes sense when you see how garbage his standup is now. He doesn't need to do it so he doesn't put the effort in.

Bill is right in the sense that everyone on the internet is crazy but when you get out in the real world and start meeting people, they are actually nice. Ive noticed that. But the truth is, everyone reacting on the outside are walking on eggshells. Ive even noticed it in myself. No one is being honest, we are just telling the stranger in front of us what they want to hear because we dont want to be confrontational.
These people don't work the average job with the average salary so the "real" world to them is very different. Bill is a lower-tier celebrity at this point. I agree.
Well...yes. Because a confrontation in the real world can lead to a fist in the face.
@@amyb.6368 Yeah, but that hasnt always been the case. I grew up in the 80s/90s when you could be honest with the person in front of you. Now its all bullshit
@@rynolascavio3381 you can still be honest. I speak my mind but I also work in the trucking industry where there really is no political correctness. Office jobs I feel like is where people are walking on egg shells. But Iâve found as long as you speak your mind in a civil manor and donât speak outrageously people will typically reciprocate that even if the disagree with you.
Everyone's a little weird once you get to know them.
I like that Bill exhibits a level of common sense. I am an American living in the UK and had to go back to the States this summer and I thought I would see transgender folks everywhere, people whinging about pronouns, and all sorts of madness and when I came in through ATL - a huge airport - it was the same old America, with nuclear families and people walking around, getting along. Same for my trip up to New England. It's social media that is the problem. America is still America, the land of opportunity, where people live in towns and cities, work, tend to their friends and families, the live free. Reduce Internet time, go get some sun, hang with loved ones, and live life. Thanks Bill for keeping it real and sane!
Ah, yes. The "If it isn't ubiquitous/everpresent then it doesn't exist." interpretation.
Only the greatest thinkers of our time come to that conclusion...
Last time I went to Vancouver BC, I could see woke jerks all over the place. They were recognizable by their ugly clothes and big, 1980s elementary school student glasses and sour puss expressions. BUT you are correct, the vast majority were the same old regular people.
It's always reassuring to hear authentic accounts that the Western World Is Still generally sane and all the nuts we keep hearing about are just a vocal minority, but damned if they don't have all the power right now.
@@HarryBalzak to be fair that argument is statistically true though, online discussions make certain issues seem more prevalent than they actually are in real life

It's not cool, you are the right wing clickbaited nerds of Britain's absolutely failed comedy culture! Shame on Burr and Rogan, and as for Sam Harris, it was a brave attempt to engage these numpties, but a sinister trap!!!
They have lost their objectivity. I don't know whether it's pandering to the audience they depend on for money, or just swallowing the shit they have been swimming in, but they clearly give some guests an easier ride than they do others.
The thing that makes Bill a great comedian, his ranting and defensiveness, makes him a really difficult guy to have a decent conversation with. Well done for extracting some content from such a complex guest.
Indeed. I agree.
After 10 minutes I had to leave it... Love the guy's comedy though
Love his comedy, however he is a douchebag. His Theo Von interview was a absolute disaster, because of his arrogant behavior.
Never seen him this vulnerable before
True, he seemed to want to make awkward and he came across as so unlikable, unpleasant and disagreeable. Which is part of what makes his comedy hilarious, but that doesnât work when in an interview and they are trying to have a reflective, intelligent conversation.
I hope a lot of people try not to take this interview so personally, if you seen Billâs recent interview with Conan (which was hilarious) youâd understand that thatâs how Bill was raised in Boston. People were angry and defensive. And itâs honestly what makes him funny, soâŠ

The skill of these two men is to gradually relax Bill Burr into providing one of the most enjoyable and human interviews he's ever given. Well done chaps and lovely to hear this side of Bill.
I think it helped Bill knowing he was being actively worshipped by the other two. Konstantin even wore matching sneakers!
It was embarrassing. They should stick to interviewing people they don't worship. Bill was fine.
Sorry to hear you felt that way. Each to their own. I quite enjoyed it.
@@danielshipley8123 Oh, don't get me wrong I still enjoyed it to some extent. Bill was fine. I just found the way they acted in front of their idol to be embarrassing. Would have been a lot better without all the fawning and giggling schoolgirl behavior.
So dope following BB over the years and watching him change and evolve. Makes his art richer for me.
You can tell that as this show got in to it, Bill Burr felt right at home with you guys. Great chemistry, great questions, and solid banter. The way he slowly relaxed deeper in to the chair and opened up more, showed that he knew he was amongst friends. Well done and thanks for this.
Bill Burrâs human connection is incredible. Heâs got a real empathetic genius that allows him to process and effectively communicate human motivations and impulse.
Bill Burr is so zen that this must have been a hard interview. Nowhere to land. Great interview guys!
Hormone replacement therapy is more Zen.
How is he Zen? So far he has a chip on his shoulder and is denying every attempt on their part to connect.
I wouldnât say heâs zen but I do think that the triggernometry guys wanted to have a conversation with like 2008 bill burr and they werenât ready to talk to 2022 bill burr.
@@TheMelonFarmers123 i think he just misread them. They are much more familiar with the political landscape than he gave them credit for and they werent just looking for a scoop.
@@Thesteadfast youâre not wrong but I think bill is kind of not in that lane as much as people give him credit for. Bill is a comedian first, and a lot of people who are pushing against or for the âwokeâ agenda wants to know everyoneâs take or how their comedy can speak âtruth to powerâ and I just donât think thatâs how bill sees comedy. There was a similar dynamic on rogan when these guys were on, I actually think it was the exact idea of one of them saying âcomedy is speaking truth to powerâ and rogan quickly quipped back, correctly imo, that âcomedy is whatâs funny.â And I just think that idea isnât triggernometrys brand.
Bill just kind of does his own thing and if that touches into politics, alright, but I wouldnât call him a âpoliticalâ figure like most of the guests on triggernometry.
A lot of the conservatives like bill because he âtells it like it isâ and a lot of the libs like him because politically he does seem to lean more left. But like heâs just Bill.
This at the beginning gave me similar vibes to the h3 bill burr podcast which was awkward af, but throughout the interview, and credit to the trig guys for doing this, the conversation steered less from current political affairs and ideas towards comedy from bills perspective. I am jealous. There is such a trove of great insights with Bill Burr. Enjoy!
Where have you been?
I love Bill. He seems like a chill dude to hang and make friends with.
Bill is also a floater. He doesn't want to step on the hard ground and keep there. Yet, at some point, you're gonna have to get your ass down.
Bill is standing on the hard ground. He realises that both the hard right and the extreme left are squabbling in the swamp.
He used to be cool, but now he sucks and even his comedian friends are starting to express their disappointment with him.
He basically became a mouth piece for his demented Feminist wife and the comedy he makes now sounds like "black woman comedy". He sounds like Wanda Sykes, only talking about how shitty white women are, but acting as if black women's shit wouldn't stink.
It is the same thing that happened to Kevin Smith. Every time some decently cool and based normal dude marries one of those clueless ideologue, buzzword spouting Feminists, it is funny for a while, with them disagreeing on everything but still sticking it out together for some reason and he uses the dumb shit his wife says for comedy, until they have a daughter and suddenly the dude turns into a sad woke clown who acts as if the world and his friends around him would have changed to the worse and he is all enlightened now, while it is all just him being pussy whipped into idiocy.

I am so happy you all got Bill Burr on your show. I just love you both and Bill. Weirdly enough my son is around the same age as Bill and they both speak in the same irreverent, outrageous, yet hilarious manner. I laugh so hard at my sons rants that I cry. I told my son about Bill Burr and we watched one of Bills Netflix shows for the first time as we mourned the year anniversary of my grandaughter"s death Oct 16, 22. My son was amazed to find a guy as angry as himself and also trying to work with it. I had my son when I was 16, too young. I apologize all the time for being such an inexperienced stupid parent. I was so scared my kids would be taken from me by social services. I was always working and leaving them alone. Bill really puts perspective into his stories that help to explain how crazy life can be. My son is very worried that the youth today are so vapid and lack resilience. He thanks me and my husband( deceased) for the slaps in the head and says we should have been much harder on him. He tells me I had no idea what BS he was getting into as a kid. What Burr said at 26:00 is something that I realised myself not to long ago. The problem with interviewing successful comedians is they always talk about comedy and they've all got a similar sort of story it's interesting a few times but after a while it becomes the same. Now interviewing a cancelled comedian has a different subject but even that is starting to get old. Stuff like Boyscast is funny because it's a duo, so they just riff. Comedians in therapy isn't interesting because they're not philosophers.
A comedian breaks the status quo, which needs to be broken sometimes. Comedians aren't funny when they joke about stuff they don't understand (Schumer), or when they're afraid of the status quo (watch Bill too toe around the Gina Carano/Star Wars thing). It makes it boring and annoying.

Perhaps the reality is there is no "Real" inside these attention seekers, (Celebrity) comedians, actors, politicians. The artists never understood that the comment section was never for them.

It's the twitter hashtag they get to fall upon
It belongs to the pop idols biggest fans lol haha "you can't criticize Ed Van Halen on my and his personal website called YT! Ed is God and I'm his GOAT jihadi!
Bill Burr is one of my favorite public people. He is like always honest and you can't say that of most people.
Heâs such a contrarian. Itâs exhausting. But you guys did an amazing job pushing forward!
Example of his contrarianism?
Bill hated that. Basically sprinted out the door lol
Love it! Great stuff guys
This is great interview of Bill Burr. Love that guy!
I don't know about going outside, and people aren't angry. Try driving sometime.
He's full of shit. One of the best comedians ever, but he's full of shit.
That counts as inside
it creates the same problem as.being online to an extent. being in a car means you arent having a natural human interaction any more
@@theheebs100 yep, that's exactly what I was gonna say. Driving affords you a level of anonymity just like being online does, it's very different from being face to face with someone.
Omg đ the SAP advertising was hilarious. It sounded like a conversation in my office but with a confused FF in the meeting đ
That was classic Burr at the end when they said that they were going to end on a positive note, but then things got dark, and he just says, âItâs your fault!â I loved that.
Great episode guys, thank you.
Love Bill. I think this is one green most real interviews heâs given.
Bill's properly off the mark with some of what he's saying here. When you have 'fuck you' money there's no worrying about losing your job because of what you said or what opinions you hold. Love him but when you can afford to pay your bills & support your family for the rest of your life while never working again, of course you're gonna have freedom to say what you want & not worry about the consequences.
Edit: Also incorrect on his certainty of over-population (there's a lot more to it) though I don't expect a comedian to have the answers to incredibly complex & nuanced issues such as that. Loved the rest of the interview, Listen to Burrs podcast every week & he's always funny af.
So what opinions do you hold that would get you terminated from your job, I wonder.
@@jimmyxx9522 Men can't be women. ANd they won't force me to accept them as such.
An alien watching this video probably thinks that all human names have to be alliterative.
Loved this guys!
Tough interview guys but well done - love Bill to death but seems like heâs not the easiest guy to have a conversation with unless heâs really into it
I think his comedy is brilliant, but if this is really what he's like as a person, and he's not just having a very bad day, he needs to learn some damn manners.
@@blackmore4 Bit harsh - he wasnât rude but he just didnât engage with their questions. Heâs doing them a favour at the end of the day, theyâll benefit more from the views than he will.
@@come_on_you_ape no matter how popular you are. Agreeing to do an interview is a consensual thing not a favour. People who think "oh I'm so big, I'm doing them a favour" are usually smug dickheads, that doesnt apply to Bill.
People think he's "hard to talk to", he just comedically shuts down lines of conversation he doesn't see a meaningful conclusion to, and being the butt of the joke makes some people feel attacked or see him as prickly.
@@TheMightyMidget I didnât say he thought âIâm so bigâ - and giving an interview to 2 guys with a much smaller following than you yourself already have is doing them a favour, a favour is literally always consensual (otherwise it would by definition have to be something that one is compelled to do) and it can be done just by being magnanimous, or wanting to help someone else out with their career - smugness doesnât have to factor in (perhaps thatâs how your mind works)
Yes he shut down the questions he doesnât see a meaningful conclusion too - a longer way of saying heâs not engaging with them as I already pointed out.
He's easy if you don't say stupid things lol
Woooo. Been waiting for this one! đđđ»
Bill is like a dad that just watched his last kid actually leave the house all grown up and now he's just quietly pissed off and totally exhausted. Zero time for any bullshit. đ€Ł
Bill Is my favorite comedian because he's hilarious AND he's a regular dude! The type of guy that is himself all the time and would be an honor to call him a friend. Just a solid dude
It is so funny seeing people who do not know Bill. This is your podcasters favourite comedian. He is always like this. Just goes to show, and is common from left to right, they always expect Bill to be their favorite highlights and he lets both down. He is NOT about triggering the left, although he does often. Some people are just less obsessed with the cultural war, and these two light weights have made a career of it.
Bill Maher mentioned you guys on his show recently. But not by name. lol He said Sam Harris was on "some podcast" lol But good job guys it was a good interview
When i'm asked who my favourite comedian is i answer 'Bill Burr before he got married.
Brilliant! Best episode ever.
Bill is right... we are all a bit fu$&ing nuts.
