Watched the movie when it was released. And then just finished the audiobook today. Because my small brain didn't know it came from a book. I agree there is a different ending. I wish the movie more closely followed the book's ending. Plus, I am adding this comment years after the movie came out. I searched YT for any Book vs Movie reviews and this popped up.
I liked the movie more than the book. All steph talked about was her brother and husband. How she would have sex with her brother. The movie was more easy going with it
Yes i read the book and in the book it was 2 parts. Steph and Emily plus somewhat husband. I disliked the Steph part cuz she thought a lot of her brother's affair and how her husband found out. She was still sleeping with brother even tho married.
I was so disappointed by the movie. I did not think that they did Emily justice by making her seem like a bad mom, and the comments she makes. I thought the ending was less suspenseful and just a little more ridiculous. Wish I could reread the book for the first time.

I'd say that the movie is more 'audience friendly' than the book too...

I definitely think they made her seem like a bad mom yeah... I really liked Anna Kendrick though!
