Here in the OBX N.C. I don't think you are to have a bait leader longer than 8 inches. I was told this by a fellow fisherman who was also a fish and wildlife, ranger.

i have to visit that area and do some fishing in south east florida fishing S……. ,no snook no tarpons and everything is undersize .I considered south florida the pinfish capital of the world

These were made by Beach Power Manufacturing but unfortunately they don’t make spikes anymore. You can find some beach cart makers on FB that create them
