it's incredible........ I just felt in love with this warmliness and musicality from the first time I heard him in Vienna conducting Tchaikovsky Pathetique Symphony... Yannick is such a genius!!

Magnificent & beautifully performed by YNS & the orchestra. Here's a perfect example of the famous ( Philadelphia sound ) is known for. I only wish performances like this was available on DVD, to enjoy rare once in a lifetime performance like this .

I wonder why the Orchestra doesn't make their long recorded history of broadcasts available for people to listen to? I would buy a subscription and pay a fee for what I want to hear.

and it was an absolutely critically acclaimed triumph with the Berlin Phil!
Maybe they do know something after all.
His recordings keeping winning major awards. He seems to always be invited back to conduct wherever he goes. I have seen him rehearse and the orchestra in question loved him. Give him some credit and some time to grow to.

I would love for them to release this as an online download through their website as they've been doing with other recent concerts. Presumably they recorded the entire piece, unless they did just a portion with the intention to upload it to youtube. Love to get my hands on the whole work!

Espectacular viendo como dibuja en el aire los matices y el vigor que le imprime. Toscani dijo una vez que los movimientos tenian que ser los justo para no deviar la atencion del oyente. Este lo cumple acabadamente.

He looks like he's ready to go out to the clubs. So much for a respect for his position and those who came before him.

Ist das ein chinesisches neues Orchester? In den späten 90ern war dieses Orchester kein PHO, sondern endete!
Die Wahl des Dirigenten, der die Kosten gesenkt hat.

The hype that he's a charismatic, engaging young conductor appears to be justified. I was supposed to see him conducting the Chicago Symphony in two weeks, but for some reason, it was announced today that he's backing out. Disappointing.
