24:35 for reference, they (99%) always end a concert with "saturday" which is a very good closer, but I definitely wouldn't mind if they swapped it with So Much (For) Stardust
I like that you take the songs for what they are and appreciate what they do. I can’t stand people that compare bands to their previous works and don’t appreciate the work and evolution
Thanks for you opinion and your insight into the musicality. I'm a huge fan of this album and I'm really proud of the work they've put in and how they keep evolving without losing their identity. Also Heaven, Iowa is definitely my new favourite. I never knew I needed a FOB interpretation/influence of In The Air Tonight until I heard it.
the trap sounding beat at the end of Flu Game fits well for me because it feels like this crisp and chill sound right after Patrick was singing about putting so much effort into making things seem effortless. just that cool and collected vibe that the song laments about wanting to give off
also the squeaks included a lil towards the end are probably sneakers on a basketball court bc the title of the track refers to michael jordan’s legendary “flu game” in 1997 where he led the Bulls to a win despite his symptoms (probably good poisoning)
@@turinturambar9846 oh damn i didnt know that! (not much of a sports dude lol) but yeah thats really cool and works well with the thematic elements throughout the album!
Wow. As a big fan, I wasn’t sure of my opinion about this album, I just finish to listen it por the third time and now, I can say that is a very good album, we can hear the hard work in every song. The kintsugi kid is one on my favorite and it remind me a lot of Save the Roll n Roll album, my favorite. I’m going to paris in october to see them and I hope they play So Much For Stardust at the end, just before Thanks For The Memorie usualy played at the end as the last song.
This whole time I was trying to pinpoint which Bond theme song 'I Am my Own Muse' was taking inspiration of and couldn't put my finger on it and I think you're spot on with that observation! Great react!
love this video! the new album is absolutel amazing, the title track is my favorite but i think hold me like a grudge and fake out are a close second and third place.
Just seen their So Much for (Tour) Dust Tour concert in Glasgow last night, absaluetly insane, loved it so much and the opening acts where fantastic aswell
I feel like the beginning of love from the other side being more synthesized than turning into heavy drums and guitar is kinda to show fans theyre moving away from synthesized stuff, I know there was a lot of more negative stuff with mania because of the type of music.
This is one of the songs I really like on the album, I think the Jazz/soul rock style some of the songs had is something they should explore more in the future even though I thought the album was kinda average overall. The other songs, I liked were love from the other side, i am my own muse, hold me like a grudge, so much for stardust and kintsugi ten years. I don't think they needed to completely do away with their more modern sounds (e.g. songs like centuries). I think the biggest problem with the album is that some of the songs sound unfinished cos their hooks feel so randomly placed/out of place or randomly led into.
The beginning "ohs" in So Good Right Now, they sound extremely similar to that one song that has basically the same melody. I've heard that tune in commercials years ago. I keep asking around, I haven't got an answer!!! Do you have any idea what song it sounds like??? It's going to bug me forever lol. Also.... Flu Game is the only song I love next to the first 2 singles, it gives me Folie a Deux energy! I think the title track/final track was their weakest closer. Compared to all of their other closers, this one wasn't that interesting, it kinda bored me :(.
If I figure it out, I’ll be sure to let you know. I’m sorry you didn’t like the title track. I found it to be a ton of fun. But, we all like different things I guess.
The vocal melody in So Good Right Now is from a song called Little Bitty Pretty One! I recognized the song because it was in a scene from the movie Matilda haha
I thought the exact same thing the first time I heard it. I think it’s very specific parts in each song that resemble each other a bit. I did a little comparison for my own brain. The contrast in heavy to the very light sounds is very similar. The fact that it’s chugging guitars with an orchestra that creates a very intense mood is also a point of similarity. So texture wise yes. Take the melody out though and I think this comparison is all in the textures, sonically how the song sounds and structure as well as mood created by the music.

Interesting! That’s cool that they always close with a song from their first album.

I'm glad you appreciate my appreciation!
'I Am My Own Muse' blew me away - what a track 💯
Yup, it's pretty dang cool.
YESSSS
Mantap banget gan
First reaction that makes sense. I like that everyone’s favorite is a different song on this album.
Thank you! Yeah, I think that really goes to show how solid the album is.
Patrick is a huge Phil Collins fan, so the influence makes sense. I absolutely love this album.
Makes sense, both are drummers who became lead singers it fits.
@@KevinBessey He covered In the air tonight, playing the drums and singing on his solo tour, there are quite a few videos fans filmed on You Tube.
I love What a Time to be Alive as well!! I feel like it's underatted. Many good pieces of music in this album though, but that is one of my favorites.
It’s so fun!

Saturday is usually always last! But enjoy the concert 😊 I am seeing them this summer as well
Flu Game is the most underrated I love it so much. Every time he says "you" I start ascending to heaven

Your least favorite tracks are my favorites lol but I respect the opinions. Flu game and The Kintsugi Kid forever 🤘🤣
Kintsugi Kid is the best on this album for me!

Lots of people (including me) saying I am my own muse sounds like Metallica’s no leaf clover
I don't really hear it. . . They sound pretty different to me. . . I don't know.
