The Division 2 - Watch Mules Just Got Easier! Level 0 to 40 in Less Than 15 Minutes!

- The Division 2 watch mules have been used for years to allow players with a high watch level to practically have unlimited resources to help with optimization and expertise. It is a quick process that requires you to own the Warlords of New York Expansion and then skipping the main campaign when starting a new character to start straight in new York. With a team of people you can be very efficient and reach level 40 in about 1 hour and a half.
With the new year 6 season 1 update things have changed to combine both of the level 30, and level 40 endgames. With this change making a watch mule has not been easier and I explain in this video how you can go from level 0 to 40 in about 15 minutes!

One big thing to note is that if you don't clear New York then the character won't have access to any projects (bar Descent), so if you're planning on using them for daily/weekly stuff for exotics then you'd be better off with the old method.

I'm really hoping the new guide will have a solo section, because "have multiple other people willing to do all the work for you" ain't exactly the most viable strategy for most players.
It is when you are a part of a great community like ours. Solo is going to take up to 5 hours. Basically boost to expansion and complete it to get watch 👍 It is more players helping and working together that makes this quicker.

When I am by myself I do challenging with 4 directives. Reset your control points under global settings until 1-2 public executions show up on the right side of the road next to Tidal Basin. Fast travel to Tidal Basin mission, cross the road, knock out the public execution missions and reset your control points and rinse and repeat. This is by far the fastest way I have found to level up alone I think its about 328k xp for every public x mission. If you can get one friend/person with a skill build you can do these in less than 4 minutes. If anybody else that runs solo or maybe with someone else has a good xp farm let me know! I'd love to try it.. With the XP boost yesterday I knocked out 16 levels in a little over an 1 1/2 hour by myself doing this..
The road for easy solo mule is the DZ. You can get to level 40 in 2 hours. Make sure to grab gear with skill tiers and let the drone and turret do the work

Solo strat, start a new character and boost to new york. Complete the expansion 👍

Honestly if you are sick of new york strat like me. Boost in New York then go back to DC and go straight in the Darkzone 1-39 bracket. You will get to lvl 40 in an hour or 2 just casually doing landmarks, meeting cool people (its a lot easier and more chill) and you still can earn resources and exotic components from boxes.

Now you need to do a guide for solo players. DZ landmarks is by far the easiest method now, it can takes 2 hours to get a new watch

@@GCROCK Its true, the landmark xp scales as you lvl. there are 1 and 2 bar landmarks that take seconds to clear that start at around 70-100k and increase to 100-150k. You can usally run to the red landmarks that have people in them land a few shots on an npc to start the landmark and make sure you get the xp when it is cleared. Also its a nice way of passively getting exotic drops and exotic components from boxes.

Tip for the people that for some reason wants to keep spending time on The Division 2 and do this solo: craft a level 30 Capacitor and 4 Hard Wire pieces, go turret-drone combo to DZ and watch your skills carry you in no time as if they were 2 players. People forget that the skills are the only damage you can actually scale beyond your level with pieces like Capacitor and having 6 skills tiers. I used to do my WONYs with that set and saved me around an hour of XP grind.
You dont have to go to NY. If you have the DLC, you can pick campaign and play the intro then boost your character with the lvl 30 boost, stay in DC and grind to 40. All depends on what intro you want to do
I was wondering this. I had a lvl30 ready for a Wony but just staying in DC gets you levels. Just did a few missions and got to 31 in about 30 minutes. Slow I know but interesting to see if the watch gets given at 40 without NY.

DZ landmarks are nice for solo too. You can get it done in 2 hours

When you boost to new york are your resources and blueprints shared? One thing people did before was to wait to share until you get the watch and spend your points. This allowed you to go over the hard limits for resources.
No, you must buy these from inyana is it? That should all work the same
That visual bug could probably be fixed by fast traveling to a DZ entrance. It usually reloads you in a different instance. By the way, this is how we used to level new characters in Div 1. Run 3 missions at a time and fast travel to the boss kill. Quick question... when you travel back to DC, if you are solo, what kind of mission XP do you get? Any at all?

Had a nice surprise this morning, needed to expertise a piece of gear, checked my mules and 100 points in each , “Why thank you very nicely “ 300 SHD points enough to get what I needed plus extra😂😂😊

All you need is 1 player on beastmode to get you through
For those of you who don't know GC or aren't completely familiar with his discord and clan they are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help players of every level with everything from Raids to legendary missions to incursions. They ask very little in terms of experience ...only that you take advice on your build and take directions from the leader of whatever activity it is that they are helping you with. They are fast, efficient and a TON of fun to play the game with and learn from. I have played with them on a lot of different content and have loved every minute of it. Several times I was ready to pull my hair out and in stepped GC's crew and had me laughing and truly enjoying playing some of the hardest content in the game. I highly reccomend them to anyone in need of help.

Upon completion, I have no weekly or daily projects on the mule....any suggestions to get them back?

Definitely don't boost. I mean you can BUT enjoy the game how it was intended for your first time.

No? It takes less than a minute to join a friend and you can see he went up 4 levels
What happens if you are solo, I was level 32 did Jefferson trade centre and American history museum and I'm still level 32.
Could one just run Countdown in heroic, over and over until they reach level 40 and achieve the same thing??

Gc. You mentioned that now with the new update, ur new character will have tje same watch level as the main character but I saw that it was 800 less on the watch as it has been.
Yeah, 800 go to all the nodes that you need to filll out

if you only have 1 friend just farm heroic control points with as many directives
Alternatively you can get one friend, heroic, 5 directives, and hit every hostage and propaganda.
Hostage takes about 40 seconds to do
Propaganda takes about 1 Minute to do

Does an.ivaded mission give you more xp on a run? So say an american history would be nearly as quick as lincoln memorial.

New character gives you all your watch levels to spend again meaning a ton of resources. The higher the watch level, the more resources.

@@GCROCK This and if you have four toons, every time you get a field prof cache, you get four scav points instead of just the one. I often forget and by the time I think of it, my alts all have 100 scav points each.
Hey, GC! Awesome vídeo as always! What about the level 30 exotic chests farm at DZ? Its not going to happen anymore, right? (Not sure if you know about, but people used to do level 30 characters just to open chests at DZ and farm exotic components. The Server was way better, nobody around, no rogue and you could open alone, but the watch wouldnt leave the SHD 30).
Passed all my dz ressources to my lvl 30 character and went to 2 dz sellers and no more exotic caches 🤦♂️
And lots or purple gear dropping in dz

I believe there is still a genralised DZ for level 30-39 players from what I can tell.
On reaching level 40 in DC didnt you have to go back to NY to kill Keener to get the watch, then travel back to DC to buy the shared materials ??

I use a level 30 character just for farming exotic components does this change mean level 30 won't exists anymore.
Good question. Not sure on this one. SHD aquisition project may no just unlock at 40 but I dont know
Your lvl 30 character now has no xp cap, they will keep gaining xp in the dz until you innevitably reach lvl 40. You can still get exotic components out of the boxes in the lvl 1-39 dz so when your character reaches 40 take advantage of all the shd lvls on your wathc, move your best 30 gear to your stash, delete and make a new boosted character and grab your gear and do it again.

This did not work for me, im shd 5500. Changed to my fourth character, joined someone who had their world on challenging with 4 directives, but I was not getting the same xp
we´ve done like this:
2 People + 2nd PS
Both with main on challenging 5 Dirctives clear until the last room
Room before the end the 2nd ps4 takes place at the smaler one, only to hold the map
Buddy change the char to that wone we want to pull and join me -> 1. clear
After we go to the char on the 2nd PS and clear the 2nd time
Challenging 5 directives lv 40 in 1h7m / normaly we´ve done in 1h45m to 2h
Note: The xp received from the smaller one increases a little as the level increases

Just deleted a character and levelled up the new character to level 40 but didn't get all the watch points from my main character I've purchased the shared blueprints I levelled up to 40 in DC anybody know why I didn't all get the watch points

This is sad, i couldn't face running WoNY and kept all 4 characters and wouldn't want to lose any of them now but would definitely do this if I had a spare one 😢
I'm heavily considering clearing 100 items from my stash to delete my last char for this. 2000 watch level is a lot of materials.

@@xPUGSLYx I'm frugal with my watch points, I can wait - but I don't think we'd get to share the resources from watch points until our seasonal character joins the others at the end of the season, so that's a much longer wait

People have been making watch mules for years to spend watch levels on resources. This bug has just been for the last week and will get fixed. People will still make mules to spend watch levels on resources
A mule holds thing, a throw away agent is an agent that you use the watch and throw away. my 2 and 3 agents are mules. my 4th agent is a Throw Away Agent. they hold nothing.
A mule is a domestic equine hybrid between a donkey and a horse.
In the case of "watch mule" which is used by many in The Division 2. It is a character used to hold onto watch levels that are accumulated through your main. The higher your main watch level, the more levels your watch mules will get 👍
Just leveled my Agent to 40 and only got 4 Scavenger points? - my main Agent is over 2500 SHD?

Tried this and when I joined a friend my xp for the mission was significantly lower than what he was getting…Like 122k a mission on heroic with all directives

Go to dz and have someone clear landmarks for you as well and it will be very quick
This will take a lot longer but yes. This is a great method also

Solo your best bet is just to boost to Warlords of New York and complete the Expansion as quick as you can. This can take anywhere from 4-6 hours. Even with just 1 friend this can be cut closer to 2-3 hours
Call always for backup. Most of the time they will fast travel to the safe houses and help you with 1-2 missions. This will reduce the time to 1-2 hours.
It took me 2 weeks to get to level 20... I dont see how some people get to level 600.. I ran into one player at level 2000 lol I can't be on a game that long
Fantastic news, but if we wanna be realistic, it’s already hard enough to find 3 people to help you with watch mules (yes, even with discord LFG), but finding 4 to 6 is almost impossible
Depends on how many friends you make. Use the community to make friends and then this is easy. Use the community to just seek help and nothing else, yeah it may be a tad rough. We have countless teams that help each other watch mule. Many came to us as solo players. It can be done.
The invitation works Only for WONY owners, non wony owners can't be invited until lvl 40. Tested it yesterday.
When I try to join a friend it says I need to complete the WONY first.

@@bigrock9637 I do own WONY. After watching the video, I was under the impression that as soon as I go to heven and go back to DC I'll be able to join my friends. And seems like that's not the case as the game forces me to complete the WONY before I can join them.

Well it seems you have done this because of the double XP. We have tried it the same way and we've got only 240000xp
My Double XP was done and dusted. I was level 50 already at this point
You don't even have to beat Keener to get the watch? That's Cheesedick bull$#!t and breaks the story immersion, the Devs need to STOP catering to the "new player".
Do you know how terrified and excited both a buddy and I were when we faced off with Keener with our HardCore Characters, so affraid we were going to die just to get that watch and now all I have to do is stand at the base and do weekly donations to eventually get one? Very VERY bad moves on the Devs part.

Don't listen to any of the hate train if thats what you are seeing. I am confident we are in for some positive changes. We will find out full details in August of how seasons and seasonal characters will work. This wont take much away from your main character
Or the mule could join three other clan members in there world and do control points,the mule sits back and lets the high rollers do the work

Well it's exactly as you put it. You need the expansion to do this method. You don't need to complete the expansion any more to get to level 40 and do the method.

No, before level 40 you cannot change the difficulty of the world. Open world activities is poor for xp also.
Solo, best way is to start new and boost to New York. And then just complete the expansion.

Your XP gain per mission is less as a lower than level 40 character. Maybe its less than 10 missions with directives but it is definitely quicker. Go no directives it will take a bit longer

as someone with over 150 days of playtime and one of the most knowledgeable players in this game, directives make it quicker, directives effect completion XP, but not kill XP, but he is farming just the completion and not the kills, which makes it quicker

This has nothing to do with the seasonal stuff at all. Watch mules have been a thing for years. This is the new way to watch mules with the endgame changes regarding the all one endgame.

@@GCROCK Ok, my bad, I went back and looked at the patch notes and it does say all players will be able to level up their characters to 40 without owning WONY.. I took that as you would now have the ability to be 40 right away... This really seems unnecessary though. You have obviously come up with a way to do this quickly as a work around. I guess I don't understand why they don't just start people out at end game 40 period... Here's your watch this is how it works blah blah blah. Now it is just a different way to get to level 40 vs WONY.

Integrity - the Devs absolutely knew this would be a consequence & must be ok with it otherwise it would don't be available for us to do
No exploit at all. This is the game mechanics. You are allowed to create new characters, your new characters get a watch that is the same value as what your main is to spend again. All this is is how fast can you then get to level 40. This is now the fastest way with the changes. Again not an exploit, if you class this as an exploit then you may as well say its an exploit to get help with a raid.
Oh yes because grinding for thousands of hours just to get to a decent expertise level is definitely something most people can do realistically, right?

IMPORTANT NOTE. Before you delete the mule character to create a new one, make sure you check its watch and spend any SHD points before deleting. I do this once per week with all my characters since i only just realized that every time you level up on your main character you also get a SHD watch point to spend on your other characters. Definitely helps when you are running low resources.

This mindset baffles me. No, people do this for me because I make an effort for them. They see me help hundreds of people, they see my community that I have built help thousands. Just because other streamers may take advantage, doesn't mean you can label me like that. All these people that helped me are my friends that I have met through the community that I created. They help hundreds and hundreds of people in the same way. No one is greater than another.
All you need to do is put a little effort it. Get involved, help a few people out. Before you know it, you have a team to do this with.
