Creative Pebble V3 Review | Crisp Audio, Compact Size, AND Low-Cost?

- My honest thoughts on the Creative Pebble V3 speakers. This is not an ad.
TL;DR: The design is compact, minimalist and will work in most settings. The connectivity is super straightforward with USB-C and Bluetooth 5.0 (and AUX-IN, for whoever still uses that), though you'll want to make sure you're giving them the power they need to sound their best. When you do, you'll be surprised at just how much quality sound the Pebbles can pump out - especially given their low pricetag.

wow i entered this video thinking that you were some high subscriber channel and noticed you were not, your content is a high end content really!! keep it up!!!!
That’s really kind of you to say, thanks!
Yes. What he said! Keep it up!
true
Such a good quality video and review. Def earned a sub
Your video was very well structured and the information very clear. I was impressed for a very good video in a small channel. All the best!
Fantastic review. Thank you ! Just ordered them after seeing the video
I saw 3 video review on these and yours the best. Great footage
Thanks very much for taking a moment to share that, Jorge - I really appreciate your support and kind words!

Love the intro! 🔥
I've had a set of these for about 2 weeks now, and agree fully with your review. Sound much better than my MacBook Pro's built-in speakers, look nice and feel well built, awesome value for money.
Thanks for the message Marcus, I'm glad you're happy with them!
Thank you for this comment. That was what I would like to know.
I'm thankful I saw this video. I already have the original v1, but wanted to check out any additions to v3. Your production quality is really good and the coverage of details is quite exhaustive. Subscribed. Hoping you're staying safe and expecting more videos from you.
Thanks very much, what a nice comment to receive!
Complete review thanks man.
Just bought some right now ! Thank you !
Excellent review, and I very much appreciated the way you ended the video.
Solid review Daniel. I think I'll get a pair of these. Cheers
well done, really appreciate your good work! high quality video!
good review dude!
thanks for the review. well made video, keep it up!
Thank you!
Great and entertaining review. Earned yourself a sub there.
Love the review! worth all the praise 10/10
Loved the review
Thanks a bunch for reminder about V3, most shops still have V2. Besides the low price and relatively small size another advantage is that they come in white. Try finding white speakers in similar price range. My friends absolutely need to have everything in white, so that makes buying options much more limited.
thank you for the vid. in the market for some speakers and will try these
Good vid dude!
Very entertaining, high quality and informative video. You deserved million views and subscribers. Soon!!!! Thank you for creating great videos!
Nice review, informative and well shot!keep it up!
The production quality of this video is better than many popular youtubers. You deserve far more subscribers, buddy.
Thanks for making this video with a lot valuable and unbiased information. I am currently choosing between pebble V3 and stage V2. Could do a review on stage V2 and comparison between the two? Thanks.
I have these at home, and they are actually not bad. For a company that calls themselves Creative, this is creative
Thanks! The tip for the USB power supply is key. I'm looking for a new set of computer speakers this holiday season and these are one of the set ups I'm considering.
I was today years old when I learned that lawn bowls isn't an Olympic sport.
they are in the Commonwealth Games i think..
Just bought a refurbished set of the plus (with the woofer) for £19.99.......cant wait to get them.!!
Haha love the video, just subd
i expected a video of this quality to be from a channel with 100k subs not 500, great job dude, keep it up
That intro though 😂 👏
Haha thanks! I had the idea ages ago and stubbornly decided to see it through.
Thanks for a great video Daniel. I watched a few reviews on these speakers and your review is by far the best I've seen. I'm shocked that you don't have more subscribers. Your review quality is on par with the best pro CZcams stars out there. Well done. Anyways I just ordered these speakers from a local computer store here in Canada and got them on sale for $40 CAD. Looking forward to picking them up today and trying them out. Thanks again and keep up the great work. Also I hit subscribe because you did a fantastic job. :)
Thank you so much for that lovely comment and for subscribing, Dirk - your support means a lot and really helps keep me motivated to make more videos. Congratulations on your new purchase, I'd love to hear your thoughts on them after you've given them a whirl!
@@DTiPNZ Well Daniel, after 6 days or so with these speakers I have to say that I'm quite impressed. The sound quality is amazing for what they are. Definitely happy with these speakers and strongly recommend them to anyone that's on a budget, but still wants excellent sound. Great awesome speakers all around and they work great with both my Mac and PC. Thanks again Daniel for a great video review.
@@DirkMeister Hi Dirk, thanks heaps for keeping me posted - not many people do! Glad to hear you're pleased with them. They really are a great wee set of speakers at a very fair price. I appreciate the update, keep well and keep enjoying them!
well bowled😁 The Gain switch is really what were once called a "Loudness" switch before.........suggestion....next time......play the same part of the song on the PC speakers
and then on the Pebbles so we can hear the difference for ourselves....rather than just have you say they sound better.
People with a PC that has no Bluetooth it does now give them limited access playing off their phone via Bluetooth, the 3.5 mm audio input could be useful as well
Great suggestions, will definitely keep in mind for the next one. Thanks for watching!
You most definitely need a sub for such small speakers. And the 2.1 version is also very, very affordable.
I just got em and yeah I think theyre pretty okay! I really just wanted them to watch CZcams vids and movies so I can take my headset off and for that they are working just fine.
Your review on the dust collectivity is useful because i wake up everyday to wipe the pounds of dust off of my “dust free” setup lmao
The struggle is real!
Now I’m addicted to competitive lawn ball.
Great Video Daniel and great review. Do these speakers have the ability to play sounds from USB input and the Bluetooth input at the same time? or do you need to change the source?
Hi Joe! Thanks for the support. I was gonna say no but thought I should test it first, turns out you can! Also turns out listening to AC/DC and Guns n' Roses at the same time is a very confusing experience.
@@DTiPNZThanks for the speedy reply! good choice of bands to test with as well. sounds like using the pebble v3 connected to my works laptop for video calls and streaming music via my iPhone in between the calls will work perfectly!
@@joeellis4536 Should do - let me know how you get on if you do get some!
how do you think it performs compared to creative stage air v2 the latest creative soundbar which within the same price range with pebble v3
How about the speech quality? I will be listening mostly streams, talk shows and stuff like that and also some gaming. Wire between speakers seems to be only 1,35m long, which is close of being too short. Annoying that they often leave it so short even when people have multiple monitor setups nowadays. Do you know how these compare to older Logitech speakers setups? I have 15 year old 2.1 Logitech setup, which audio cable seems to be broken. I don't like how much space bass speaker takes from my desk, so I am looking something without it. I am wondering if these are popular mostly because of their unique shape. One downside seems to be that you cannot adjust bass from these. I am scared that they are too bass heavy, which makes speech annoying to listen.
Wow high quality content but less subscribers. You deserve more 👍
The V3 is in fact larger than the V1 & V2. The V1 & V2 had 2" speakers drivers and the V3 has a 2.25" drivers.
How does the size of drivers affect the quality of the sound?
Hey, thanks for your review. Do you think a standard USB port in a desktop (B660M motherboard) will have enough power to run them on a "beast" mode?
absolutely
Any advice on the Creative Stage Air vs. Pebble V3?
IMHO: Worth the money. A bit too much of hight frequencies overall, I bit lacking definition in the mid frequencies. The bass - if we can say it this way - is not as deep as you would hope probably - but it's good enough for this size of speakers, assuming no additional processing is happening there and of course the price. I just bought mine and Im keeping them. Overall MBPro 2017 has rather good speakers, but after one hour of listening to Pebbles - it's just pain to go back.
Nice bass! 😘
Wonder if the similarly-priced Creative Inspire T10 will sound better, similar or worse then this Creative Pebble V3 ... ? 🧐
Good question - not one I can comment on unfortunately. Hopefully someone else has the T10 and can share their verdict.
great vid GOD bless
Nice
Hows the bass compared to a speaker like JBL Flip 6? I connected it to my laptop but it seems to have a small delay, not ideal for gaming and there is no aux on the speaker
My cat looks exactly the same as yours... so I guess I'm getting these speakers. 😹
Do you need the software to use them?
I have the speakers with the subwoofer and its 100% worth it. I tried unplugging the subwoofer and the quality decreases by like half. If you had the choice definitely choose the subwoofer option. The bass is amazing for the price, better than my +$100 JBL charge 4.
Thanks for letting us know! I've had a couple comments echoing the same thing - I was basing my opinion off other reviews I'd seen/read, but real world experience is always best. Only a few quid between the V2+ and V3, tricky decision!
Nice. I was on the fence about getting the sub woofer option
Can you separate the subwofer and use just 2 speakers? Say when travelling i need compact carry.
If I got the pro ones could I connect a subwoofer too them?
@@hyleenpognaire8134 yea the subwoofer is connected by aux only and can just be detached
Can I connect the speaker to a focusrite scarlett 2i2 audio interface?
Can i ask.i connected them with adaptor usb to type c on 3.2 port usb on my computer.when connected via bluetoooth the blue light pulsing the high gain and the sound is awesome.when i press the bt button to chance the connection to the usb th bluee light of high gain stands still that means i still have high gain sound but the volume is much lower than the bt connection.why?
Hi Daniel can i connect my 3.5 headphone to these speakers
I want to buy a Pebble V2 but I wonder if I should pay extra for the V3 version and here is my question, is there a difference in the sound between V2 and V3? Do you only pay extra for bluetooth?
Hi, I don't own the V2 so can’t compare, from what I understand they’re both great value speakers. I’d your looking to save some cash and don’t need the Bluetooth, go for the V2.
@@DTiPNZ Thank you for your help
Sound wise I’m very happy with v2. Single cable rather than double is making me think about the upgrade….
@@TFPMadcow V3 is also double cable, no?
do they have a hiss or buzz sound when not playing music?
hows the bass ? as bassy as a bose mini sound link 2 ?
Difference in sound between V2 vs V3?
Don't know if I should get v3 or pebble plus???
Really comes down to how much you want that extra bass - the price difference is marginal and I imagine the speaker quality is pretty similar.
Big difference between v2? Because price is 2x (
Are these capable of bieng powered by a phone with the usb C?
You should've got a white version of the creative pebble to better suit the aesthetic of your computer setup to be entirely honest
Yeah I think I agree with you on that, unfortunately only the V2 comes in white.
Great review. Would anyone know how these sound compared to the Homepod minis? Thank you.
Incomparable. HomePod Mini dominates on quality.
Any comparisons to anker soundcore 2 ?
I read somewhere that if you plug in a 30w adapter rather than in PC you get the best out of it.I cannot find the official adapter anywhere so I was thinking if I can buy another one from other companies. If so does anyone have a clue of what is compatible?
are these speakers good for a windows 10 gaming pc?
Bluetooth ile bağlanınca ışık sürekli yanıp sönüyor mu?
Can you connect a subwoofer to them?
I have them. Excellent audio...for the price. So put your expectations accordingly. Good audio quality but excellent price/quality (the best price/quality of the pebble 2.0 models IMHO). They are berely more expansive than the pebble v1.
May I know if it's good for gaming? Is it good to pinpoint where the sound comes from in the game, left or right, that sort of thing?
Hi there, haven’t used them for gaming myself so can’t help, sorry - hopefully someone else can weigh in on that for you.
@@DTiPNZ thanks for replying. Hopefully someone who has this pair and games can give me a clue :)
i can't find v3 in my country
Have you tried plugging the usb c into a phone to power it? If so how do you think they sound like that?
I’ve not, no - rocking an iPhone so stuck with the lightning port!
@@DTiPNZ Ah okay, thank you anyways
I love the way you review this speakers .. what do think the difference between pebble V3 vs V1(old version) in terms of sound ?
Thanks for always answer all of our comments 👏🔥
Hi Aozawa, thanks for watching and commenting. I try to answer any questions whenever I can - one of the benefits of having a smaller YT channel! However this one I can’t comment on - I’ve not owned nor heard the V1. I remember it was (and still is) very popular - hence why they still manufacture and sell it, I guess - so must have been pretty good. In terms of difference, I would think they’d have make a few improvements across two versions, not sure if enough to justify an upgrade if you already have the V1, but certainly worth the price difference if you’re weighing up which model to buy. Sorry I can’t be more help, hopefully someone else on here has both and can chip in!
Have you tried using these via AUX? For me they don't work via AUX if I power them with a wall adapter. The blue light just flashes indefinitely no matter what. I only get sound if I plug the USB directly into the computer. But even then, if I switch to AUX mode, I get extremely annoying buzzing and static. I own a pair of V1s and V2s and neither have this problem. What's the deal with this?
have you ever tried a ground loop isolator? also known as a GLI it might take the static away.
i just ordered V3 two hours ago but my next project will be Katana V2😅
Creative Pebble Plus 2.1 oR Logitech Z333 2.1 pls ??
Can you use these with a Monitor and ps4
Hi! I can’t answer for certain as I guess it’d depend on the monitor. Though I’m thinking if you run an HDMI from the PS4 to the monitor, you should then be able to run the audio through the Pebbles using the AUX in cable - that’s assuming the monitor has an AUX out, of course. Sorry I couldn’t give a more definitive answer - I’d gladly test it myself but I don’t have a monitor to hook my PS4 up to!
Does anybody know how I can check in advance if my motherboard USB ports provide enough power for this? It's a high end motherboard (MSI X570 Tomahawk) but it would be nice to know before I make my purchase! Thank you :)
I just use a 5v 2a usb plug to power, cause sometimes when the pc is off or im cleaning it at least i have it powered to use the bluetooth for music.
this or edifier g2000?
mine wont change to lo-gain mode wtf?
I have the V1 and the V3, indeed the V3 are bigger than V1&V2
does v3 sounds better than v2? i want to buy this, but in my country i only have v2 available, and i was wondering if the sound quality will be the same. also, does v2 works with usb too, or only with 3.5 mm cable.
How do I connect to Xbox?
Wish the V3 came in white
It does.

If you'll use it for watching movies or podcasts, buy it. Don't buy if you like listening to music because it has a excesive amount of compression that can't be deactivated and it plunges the volume peaks, thus destroying the dynamics of your music.
Thanks for the comment - solid advice!
...meow😸
Are these better than the Logitech computer speakers?
Hi! That'd depend which Logitech speakers you're talking about, I guess. I can't really comment on this as the only Logitech speakers I own are the Z537 which are considerably more powerful and have a dedicated subwoofer (and cost three times the price). I've owned budget Logitech speakers in the past and they were absolutely fine, but I like the Pebble more than I liked them.
@@DTiPNZ how would the z333 compare against this?
Hi @@leon09082, I can't say for sure as I only have the Z537 which are a bit more powerful than the Z333, but on specs alone it looks like the Z333 would still way outperform the Pebbles. Mind that you don't have bluetooth with the Z333, if that's something you're after. I really rate the Z537 so if the Z333 are similar, they'll be well worth the price difference over the Pebbles. I don't like the aesthetic of most Logitech speakers so I'd give the win to the Pebbles there, but that's a personal preference.
@@DTiPNZ thanks!
You look like jesse pinkman , anyways good vid!
Got V3 a while ago, and they are great for a set of compact speakers. They don't take much space and the sound really punching above their weight. Lack of software is the problem tho, no way to EQ them.
Where’s the link to the correct speakers? 😬
My bad - here uk.creative.com/p/speakers/creative-pebble-v3 and here www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08F5BQZL8/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&aaxitk=e216a4e7001f27aedaa7a06f773ac374&hsa_cr_id=2036611550902&pd_rd_plhdr=t&pd_rd_r=2098fce2-03a3-4cac-9076-068d4b10deac&pd_rd_w=VjUyZ&pd_rd_wg=nh1D5&ref_=sbx_be_s_sparkle_mcd_asin_2_title

Hallo! Please, say the name of track:) thanks
No problem - it's Evaporate by Mountaineer. I got the track from Uppbeat which I'd highly recommend if you need copyright free music for CZcams. Should be a link in the description.
I bought these and didn’t like it at all.. no bass or treble at all
i couldn't unsee the nails, please don't chew on them.
$35 US in 2024.
These are £28 for a reason and that reason is that you get £28 worth of quality and no more. Just bought these on 08/10/22 and I am disappointed as this channel and quite a few others said they were good. The bass is terrible. If you have little cash and need 'something' then they look okay on your desk. Other than that do some overtime and get some decent speakers as they sound rubbish.
:20 Amish are not supposed to use technology!
my base Lenovo Legion Laptop sounds better than High Gain mode (blue lit) of this product, so buy better speakers laptop users.
