They could relate on many levels educationally , financially, and in their career. She was naturally comfortable with him. Molly was not willing to compromise with Andrew for almost anything as far as his family her workâŠ.. she prioritize her work way more than she did the relationship. Andrew was a stellar guy, but long term wouldn't have been a good choice as Molly's GUY! I think a lot of ppl like Andrew because he challenged her, but her husband did the same just in a way that made her acknowledge her own flaws (because Molly was blaming everyone else) . He made her insecurities gracefully surface and left her to do the healing (ex: office situation where she presented w/out him. He didn't clown with her. He let her see what it would be like to continue standing in isolation) which is ultimately why she came back to him & why she loved him. He gave her the grace & key to be feminine. Molly was so used to being HBIC that she wasn't used to that, but she †loved it when she encountered it.
