Emeli Sande's career what is it?
More than 115 000 albums sold in a week in the UK, #1 of the charts in England, her single "Next To Me" #2 in the singles's top ... And so on !
The Scottish singer knew how to impress her audience: she is following the footsteps of talented singer like Adele and Florence + The Machine and she is now on her way to win a Brit Award.
She was known for her composition talents for artists like Professor Green or Chipmunk, she is now going solo. Her album "Our Version Of Events" is a mix of soul, pop, R&B melodies accompanied with her powerful and wonderful voice.

Why does this song capture me so? Yes, it's a great performance by Ms Sande. I like this acoustic version with the sparse guitar even more than the official track.
I think it's because it combines cryptic lyrics (you can read several meanings into them) with something in the chord sequence and the 'chorus' that just stops you in your tracks. Well, it does me.
We're lucky at the moment with female singers. From Dory to Joni, I've always loved them.
