This tutorial was helpful BUT I'll need more detailed 101 for beginners instructions especially on the closure 🙄 Maybe marking the cap, transferring onto a wigs head and then gluing it? Yours looks professional and great on you, thanks for sharing!
Just for you that will be my next hair tutorial coming real soon but this was indeed a quick weave so its was hard then but now that I have better equipment I'll do one on a wig head

No it doesn't the wraps protects the hair.
What kind of shears are u using?
I’m sorry I can’t remember the brand of shears, because they are professional shear I purchased from a company that sales hair stylist items from when I use to work in a salon, you won’t find it in your locate beauty store. But you can purchase any shears and just use it to cut hair that way it stay’s nice and sharp. Thanks for the support hope I helped
