But I found out from Andrew Lees that Aurora was supposed to be the big bad but Rebecca Breeds booked a pilot. Lucien was originally going to turn against Aurora and help the Mikaelsons.

It's possible that Aurora might have ended up dead and that Lucien might have still been alive during the time of Legacies. Granted it's possible they could have killed him off in the seasons that followed but it's interesting to think that real life things switched plans and now Rebecca Breeds is appearing on Legacies as Aurora and Andrew Lees won't probably appear again as Lucien unless it's a flashback.
They actually had chemistry!! Between Tristan and Aurora he was the most charismathic and likeable and the one with the saddest backstory too, if the script tried a new angle they could had given him a redemption arc through Freya like Kol got his through Davina. And I do think she had fun with his flirtations, until he killed Finn and she started hating 200% ofc. But at the end i kinda liked freelin too
