Bless Big Brother Stevo helping Chris to make a dinosaur for school. That felt very 1988 Sally and Frank/Steven.

I remember this and Joey being devastated however... It wasn't the LAST we saw of Saul. As he would be back as a Schizophrenia-induced vision to Joey nearly 2yrs later.

Having only seen Saul's first appearance/story the first time round, and now seeing this through fresh eyes, I'm stunned that Selina got sucked back in by Saul again!!! Please tell me she has a further realisation?! I eagerly await the next part. Thanks for your hard work on these by the way. I've been ill and this has kept me occupied 🥰

I think the idea for the story was that Saul actually did help Selina this time (kidnapping aside lol). Selina was feeling lost since Shannon left. As another commenter said, Chloe, Jesse, Irene and Steven were all pulling, pushing, yelling at Selina and telling her what was best for her. Saul made her realize she had to discover who she was for herself. This was his redemption.

@@SummerBayJournal I like that they made this storyline multi-layered and a little more complex. And they clearly took the time to slowly draw it out which is refreshing especially a storyline between just two characters. It annoys me somewhat that Saul won though. I know it cost him his life but his ultimate aim was met. I'm interested to see how Selina reconciles this experience from this point with regards to Steven as I can't remember watching this back in the day. Steven definitely deserves a happy ending...

I can see why selina is sad but saul had kidnapped her. How was the police to know he didn't hurt her? Imagine if he was and they did nothing? He went into his jacket when they said not to. What could they do?

Thanks for this series!! I know a lot of people shipped Steven and Selina but I never really thought they suited, to me it felt like the will they/won't they element was the most interesting but I couldn't imagine them actually living together as a married couple and being happy

I wouldn't say I shipped them but I never had a problem with them either. I believed they loved each other. And I think the actors had good chemistry. With Steven being a well-liked original character too, it was good to see him having such a long arc.

I never saw the chemistry between Selina and Steven. To me it felt a bit forced, Selina and Steven as a couple. It felt weird. But still would have liked to have seen their wedding on screen.

Did they have a wedding offscreen?? I lived them as a couple, and watching these i still do!!

Anyone know the name of the song in the final minutes?

It's called "Cry" by "The Mavis's". A real staple of late 90s H&A! Brings back memories doesn't it?
