I’m so impressed with the white fruit bowls and the two matching square crystal vases and the prices you paid for them...oh, my gosh! They would look so pretty on the mantle with Christmas greens and berries in them. I love crystal on silver trays with candles at Christmas. Just beautiful. 👍💕
You found some amazing pieces. My favourite of all were the vases. My mother always taught me the ping test for crystal. Flick the fingernail lightly against the crystal. The more lead the clearer the sound. If glass it would not produce a dull sound.

Oh yes...I didn't mention ...my most favorite item rather the item that was jawdropping were those cut glass crystal vases with the etching on them....those , which you bought long long ago...see...a classic thing bought years earlier, pays you back....Back than you might not have thought that you would start a you tube and you would be sharing to the world....but such good item can inspire even after centuries....Thats Why people like Antiques....( including me 🤪)
Recently paid a visit to Columbia Falls, Montana. Went to some thrift stores there looking for something quite specific and found a store on the way to Big Fork and viewed a very 'stuffed' store and there was a cut glass/crystall sugar and creamer. Sort of thought I 'wanted' them but I was flying and space in my luggage already taxed with purchases while there, walked around lots of 'wexford' stuff too and kept going back to the sugar and creamer..a couple of times and decided to purchase the set at $3.50! I thought I might leave it with my family living in Montana....but reworked my luggage and made room and they are now 'here' at home, washed and shine like diamonds. Thanks to you for 'educating' us on what to look for..American Brillian, sawtooth edges, diamond cuts on the handles similar to the large double handled item you just talked about. Learn so much from your posts and how to know what is out there!!! Thank you!!!

Thank you for sharing. I love my crystal. Right now, it is super cheap in our local thrift stores. I just flick a piece with my fingernails to test if it is crystal. If it is, it will ring almost like a bell. Glass just thumps. Also, I carefully feel to determine if it is pressed or cut glass. Cut glass crystal has definite clean sharp edges and is more expensive than pressed crystal. Your water experiment was great.

OH!! hun...NEVER N E V E R EVER pick up a glass basket BY THE HANDLE only. Put your other hand UNDER the basket to pick it up. That's one of the reasons the oval baskets are so rare- they were picked up by the handle and just snapped, broken. Gotta show it some love. I think my heart stopped beating when I saw you pick up that basket by the handle only, I should call 911. Love your love of glass!

OH!! hun...NEVER N E V E R EVER pick up a glass basket BY THE HANDLE only. Put your other hand UNDER the basket to pick it up. That's one of the reasons the oval baskets are so rare- they were picked up by the handle and just snapped, broken. Gotta show it some love. I think my heart stopped beating when I saw you pick up that basket by the handle only, I should call 911. Love your love of glass!
