Braverman was calling for pro-palestinian protests to be banned because they were being used to support Hamas (officially a terrorist group in the UK) and protesters were calling for the destruction of Israel. The comparison with the shutting down of a Conservative conference is moronic.

With police pretty much protecting the protesters because of their state endorsed nature. Not a surprise to see why when you realise many palestinans or palestinan affiliated people are in goverments around the world.

I was impressed, yes --- and I don't agree entirely with their position. That's not the point.
Law enforcement is supposed to order a demonstration that blocks roads to disperse, and then give the demonstrators a reasonable chance to disperse, especially if they show some movement in complying with the order. You have a problem with that?

No serious person thinks there aren't any time, place, or manner restrictions on the First Amendment. For example, I don't think it's cute when organizers march in the middle of the Dan Ryan during rush hour either. However, the proposed restrictions on protesting the upcoming DNC, which will be held in Chicago as well, are in fact excessive. I support the right of those protesters to fight for speaking permits the go longer than a mere 60 minutes at a time.
I guarantee you that if I loitered in my car attempting to pick up a friend from the airport as long as those protesters did, TSA would be all over my vehicle.

British people have every right to chant anti any d*mn country in the world that they choose be it USA, Israel, Iran, Germany etc. and she doesn’t get to dictate to British people which nation that they can chant against.

This cancellation of Free Speech took place in a country - Belgium - which was liberated in 1944-45 by Allied forces which resulted in much loss of Allied lives. So bloody disgraceful - I am speechless.
Palestinian protestors were actually advocating the destruction of Israel - a sovereign state. And the Palestinians actually started the present conflict last October 7th.

The mayor tried to ban the event saying the people are anti-abortion. But people are right to speak up against the killing of babies and there is a national March for Life in Brussels this weekend.
The catering staff at the event were threatened along with the owner of the premises.

they should make an SNL skit of protesters setting up to "disrupt" the system . first the protesters file their documentation to the official channels, make sure they are not in an area that causes any issues, and coordinate with the other protesters to show up at the specific location that has been approved by the government officials they are protesting against. lol

The U.S. has limitations on free speech as well. And I find preventing supporting war of aggression, genocide (including by promoting conspiracy theories claiming real genocides did not happen, ...) way more convincing than most slander.
You are allowed to not understand free speech and its purpose. People can and should be able to openly support whatever they want and think whatever they want.
