I wish Timothy had been there with the Crows to bid Dumbo goodbye, Timothy was Dumbo's first true friend and it always bothered me that he wasn't there for a tearful goodbye, if anything that bit with Timothy in the newspaper makes it seem like Timothy was just as much in it to get himself famous as he was being a genuine friend to Dumbo. Yes I know Timothy was a good guy who genuinely cared about Dumbo, but the ending just doesn't reflect that, like I saod; he should have been there for a tearful goodbye.
What makes Dumbo's flight here so unique is that the previous scene initially gave off the impression that flying with the crows was a dream/hallucination only the viewers at home were able to witness. For Dumbo to actually fly in front of the circus staff and audience immediately clarifies that it was no dream.

I loved this Movie because in retrospect because you learn alot of important life lessons. Be nice to folks, never bully and what goes around comes around. The Firehouse Scene reminds me of Carrie when she got her revenge and Dumbo got his revenge on the Ladies by pelting them with Peanuts. It also shows that sometimes in life all you need is someone to believe in you for you to believe in yourself. I Loved how Mrs. Jumbo was in The Luxury Car made especially for her while the others shared their quarters. It kind of reminded me of how Dr. Eugene Landy pretty much saved Brian Wilson's life although he took advantage of him over and over but despite that were it not for Dr. Landy Brian Wilson could have ended up another Rock Tragedy. Timothy Mouse helped Dumbo become a sensation and the rest is History.
Since Timothy the mouse became the new manager of Dumbo and the circus seen at 2:25, I thought it was a little sad not seeing Timothy with Dumbo from 2:46-3:12. I can only hope Timothy was sitting on the train just not seen or, he should have been with those elephants from 2:36-2:40 where the elephants weren't scared of him anymore. (I'm at least glad it didn't show Timothy waving goodbye with those crows because, the film would have felt a sad ending to me).

I remember seeing this when I was very, very young. Maybe five or six years old. The ending really scared me. The combination of Dumbo in the burning building and the clowns running around at the bottom. I believe that most kids get scared by clowns at some point. Kind of like seeing the "Wicked Witch of the West" for the first time. Some things just stay with you for the duration. I probably haven't seen this in forty years and it still seems a bit "Spookey".
Thanks to the crows and Tim the mouse, Dumbo's happy to be with his mom again, by going from being a laughing stock to being a famously big-eared flying circus star.
+Fernando Ramos In my opinion, I would just thank Tim the mouse and not the crows because, while they did say that they will help Dumbo to fly using a magic feather, it was just a joke as Tim the mouse said from 1:01-1:03. Even after the crows gave the feather to Tim, they did laugh a little bit once Dumbo started to fly over a cliff saying how funny Dumbo looks when he flies and they sang their song titled "When I See An Elephant Fly" which was probably a tease to Dumbo. The crow leader did become a fan of Dumbo wanting his autograph as he said from 3:05-3:07 but, I still feel that the crows were not helping and only Tim was the helpful one telling Dumbo that he was going to take care of his future. Tim was the one who shouted into the ring masters ear when he was asleep the greatest elephant to star with the big ears is Dumbo where the ring master woke up saying with excitement "I got it" thinking he had a dream. Also, Tim was the one who gave Dumbo excellent encouragement what a great circus star Dumbo is with his big ears telling Dumbo that his ears are beautiful.
+afriendofbean actually, Tim knew the feather was fake. The crows did help dumbo. They made him believe he could actually fly with the 'magic' feather so he wouldnt be afraid. It was all part of the plan
+Joan Wong Yes, I knew that Tim knew that the feather was fake. I guess the whole point of the magic feather which wasn't magic was so Dumbo would take his fear off very high heights when flying and think and look and pretend that the feather was magic since Tim knew that Dumbo was able to fly up that tree without the magic feather.
Do you think this movie inspired Randy Newman when he started his singing career? The lead crow sounds so much like him and repeats everything he sees! LOL!

Woody: Hey Dumbo your flying!
Buzz: This isn't flying, this is falling with style.
Got what they deserve feel dumbo's rath this scene cured my tears
I still love this movie! Still have the original VHS of this! :D
One of the best movies ever made.
one of walt disneys best movies
Dumbo is another one of my favorite Disney films it was a little sad I remember crying on the scene where the mouse takes dumbo to see his mom.

Run, clowns, run! Hehe, so sweet seeing those creeps get what they deserve. ^_^
my childhood's favourite movie, and it can still bring tears into my eyes

jumping from a platform that high would be absolute suicide!
I would love to see him on once upon a time
sooo beautiful!

Nostalgia!
Happy 75th anniversary!

LOL!
