They were important to you for a long time perhaps, and sometimes you have to ease yourself out of it. I for one had a very catatonic few days of emotions that eventually trickled, but emotions can be quite tumultuous. Feel your feelings and try to understand them. Figure out why you feel that way, what it is. Identify them and give them names to better place your thoughts and emotions attached. And especially, one of the most important: be kind to yourself. You might feel like it's your fault, perhaps. You might have strong emotions of guilt or feel like you should have done more. If you were never ready to be with them, at least now you understand and know why it shouldn't continue. Be compassionate to and give yourself time to heal, you need to love yourself first after all. c:
