متحدثا في المؤتمر الصحفي الدوري في جنيف، يوم الجمعة، قال المتحدث باسم المكتب الأممي، ينس لاركيه إنه تم تسجيل 591 حادثة مرتبطة بالمستوطنين أسفرت عن إصابات بين الفلسطينيين وأضرار في ممتلكاتهم في الأشهر الستة الأولى من هذا العام وحده، مما يمثل زيادة بنسبة 39 في المائة عن المتوسط الشهري الذي سجل العام الماضي - والذي كان بالفعل الأعلى منذ أن بدأت الأمم المتحدة التسجيل في عام 2006.
وقال السيد لاركيه "إن المجتمعات الرعوية الفلسطينية معرضة بشكل خاص لهذه الأنشطة الاستيطانية وغيرها. خلال هذا العام والعام الماضي، وثق مكتب تنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية تهجير ما لا يقل عن 399 شخصا بسبب عنف المستوطنين من سبعة مجتمعات رعوية فلسطينية في جميع أنحاء الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة. ثلاثة من هذه التجمعات تسمى البقعة وخربة بير العيد والودادية أصبحت الآن خالية تماما، بينما بقيت عائلات قليلة فقط في المجتمعات الأخرى"

وقال المتحدث باسم أوتشا إن الرعاة أشاروا إلى أنشطة المستوطنين، بما في ذلك أعمال العنف والتوسع الاستيطاني اللذان يؤديان إلى فقدان وصولهم إلى المراعي، باعتبار أن هذه الأنشطة هي المحرك الرئيسي لنزوحهم. وأضاف: "من الأسباب الأخرى التهديد بهدم منازلهم وممتلكات أخرى من قبل السلطات الإسرائيلية"

وشدد على أن المستوطنات الإسرائيلية غير قانونية بموجب القانون الدولي "وتعمق الاحتياجات الإنسانية بسبب تأثيرها على سبل عيش الناس وأمنهم الغذائي ووصولهم إلى الخدمات الأساسية".
يذكر أنه من المتوقع انتهاء التقييم في أيلول /سبتمبر، ومن المفترض أن يطلع الأمم المتحدة وشركاءها على أشكال المساعدات التي ستدعم الرعاة الفلسطينيين وعائلاتهم بشكل أفضل.

أللهمَ اغفِر لِلمُؤمِنِينَ وَالمُؤمِناتِ وَالمُسلِمِينَ وَالمُسلِمَاتِ وَاَصلِح ذَاتَ بَينِهِم وَاَلِف بَينَ قُلُوبِهِم وَاجعَل فِى قُلُوبِهِمُ الإِيمانَ وَالحِكمَةَ وَثَبًّتهُم عَلىٰ مِلَّةِ رَسُولِكَ صَلىَّ اللّٰهُ عَلَيهِ وَسَلَّم وَاَوزِعهُم اَن يُّوفُوا بِعَهدِكَ الَّذِي عَاهَدتَّهُم عَلَيهِ وَانصُر هُم عَلىٰ عَدُوِّكَ وَعَدُوِّهِم إلهَ ألحَقِّ وَاجْعَلنَا مِن هُمْo
