How i missed Osaka's tennis in the past couple of months. Just hearing her voice is sooooo soothing. Even if she doesn't win Olympics she would have inspired the next generation. Osaka is more than a tennis player. She's a woman of values and is loved by millions. We miss you Osaka!🙆♂️😭

It’s funny how they tried to make this commercial come off as “inspiring” and “empowering” that they straight up appropriated the Maori culture.
Im curious, isn't the hakka at the beginning of rugby just a general tradition borrowed from maori?
Each Pacific island have their own war dances or battle cries passed down from our ancestors and with the introduction of rugby we have all incorporated it into the sport. The haka is the war dance of the Maori people and therefore should only be led or performed by such. To people unfamiliar with rugby often associate the haka with the sport because of how well known the All Blacks are for performing it before every game. However, it is sacred to them and anyone of any other race (including other Polynesians) who try to perform or impersonate it is at risk of appropriation.
