@After I was diagnosed with cancer and I got a phlebitis as a side effect of a treatment, I entered in a state of depression, and I could easily burst in tears. My brother who knew that I loved cats as a kid suggested that I should adopt one. After I took in my first cat I burst into tears. My sister then asked as to why I was crying, I told her "BECAUSE I AM HAPPY". That cat had suffered mistreatment in a previous life. It took a few months before he allowed me to pat him. Now he himself creates situations to get patted. I also adopted a second cat and then doubled my happiness. They normally sleep on a sleeping bag I have unfolded near my bed, and when I cannot sleep I like watching them, and bathing in their zenitude. They bring me so much joy, I cannot even consider life without them.

There is female cat that has been abandoned by her owner who has been coming to my back door every evening for the last couple of weeks and she is always very hungry. I and a friend would like to catch her so we could refer her to the vet of a refuge, but she refuses to enter my place and insist that I serve her outside. I can see a wound on her side and on her neck. She looks very sweet.
@@piertinence maybe there's an animal rescue organisation in your area you could phone and they could humanely catch the cat in a cage and get her to a vet?
@@duncanself5111 My neighbor is in touch with a refuge that gives vet services, but we would have catch her first. If we can't I will explore other avenues.

Firstly, you saved a kitten's life. Secondly, the time, effort, treatment and determination you gave Charlie is somewhat amazing. You never gave up on him and now Charlie has nearly fully recovered which is an amazing feat within itself. I was so happy to see him walk and run with his four legs, truly astonished. This is amazing. I was in tears when I saw his paralysis and the suspected reason for such a small kitten to have that. I cried. 😢
After the surgery, when his legs moved. I gasped.
Seeing Charlie's progress. Using his back legs to try to walk, then...that moment when he jumped off a platform on to the bed further away, using his back legs to push him up and forward, I was in tears again. When he used the litter box, like a normal cat, and was playing, hopping on things, climbing...this transformation is just a miracle. Thank you for giving Charlie a second chance. He's adorable and you are an angel.

Makes me realize how much I value my kitty. Sasha knows I have her best interests at heart. I feed her canned food morning (everyday) and most evenings. She is my sweetie. It breaks my heart to see the damage wrought by people on our pets. Thank you Marie for believing in Charlie and posting his unbelievable recovery. 😇 😺

I hope the parents of the child will be billed for Charlie's medical bills that's the only way they will learn to be responsible parent's.
Yes I totally agree that the parents of this little monster should pay for Charlies vet bills & meds etc... I totally blame the child's parents, whether they were there at the time or not. These parents obviously did not teach this little monster to always be kind to animals. They need to nip their child's behaviour in the bud before it escalates into more serious actions in the future. As we all know most serial killers start by killing/torturing animals at a young age!!! So glad foster mother wouldn't have poor Charlie put to sleep, she gave him a second chance at life. Such great commitment from this patient & lovely lady (God bless her & little Charlie) 🐈🐈🐈 ❤❤❤ 🍪pocket.
Unfortunately they denied everything to the SPCA who investigated, and we had no concrete proof.

Not suprised though the parent/parents denied everything, so the child that inflicted these horrendous injurys on this poor defenceless kitten will not learn & may possibly go on to do further acts in the future.... 🍪pocket.

Charlie is one of the lucky ones. Thanks for getting him a second evaluation that saved his life. As for the bad person that hurt him I can only pray the same pain comes their way soon.
He is a little fighter....survivor! Very playful, great personality! Thank you for your love and compassion. I had a schnauzer that had a stroke...doctor wanted to put him to sleep. I said no, let's give him a couple weeks. I used a towel under tummy and held him up. He used his legs til he could stand on his own. I would put him on his back, pull his legs lightly and he would pull back and push against my hand with his legs. Boogie lived 6 more years to age of 18. Charlie is a beautiful tiger, so happy he is enjoying life. I wish you many happy, healthy years together. That child should be made to watch first part of this video to understand what damage they caused. Shame on the child and parents not to teach respect of animals.
I'm not a "cat person" but I hate to see any animal suffering. This poor little guy had an incredible obstacle to overcome.What a fighter he is! Good job, Charlie!

This has me in tears. I had to learn to walk again too and it's quite difficult. So glad Charlie has you he has the most precious sweetest little face
I have a cat who came as a stray. A gorgeous calico. She is very wobbly in her back end but really gets around ok. I found out from a neighbor she was someone's cat but they refused to come get her when she called twice. She knew we gave her a good home. I found out from vet she was fixed and was not in pain. She is so sweet. Still prefers to be outside but stays in our yard and on the porches. She will come in and sleep on the bed some nights. The minute I saw her so thin and hungry on my porch I fed her and gave her one of my indoor cat's flea treatments til I could get her to the vet. She is the regal Josephine after Mrs. Bonaparte. That little kitten looks like my indoor Lucy Mae. So glad she nutured it back to health. I am a dog person but love my cats too. The cats do not like each other but both love their chubby pug sister.
It's so sad he had to go through this because someone wasn't supervising their child. I thank all the people who worked hard to help Charlie get better.

Mostly it is about bad parenthood who never say NO to their kids no matter what because these kind of parents have problems in their own relationship and with them self and if a kid is taught no rules for life and in the same time is ignored a lot of one parent in the family it can do bad things to get attention just which is crazy but not unusual.
I know a family who have a kid like this and I m really scared to see how evil that kid can be just to get attention from its parents, they had a cat 🐈 who I saw suffered from this evil behaviour from this kid but it was an adult cat 🐈 so it hide itself everywhere in that apartment.
But one day that woman in that family called me and asked me if I know anyone who could take care of this 🐈 (because it bother her in her home she had to clean a lot) and I knew of course so now that cat 🐈 has the happiest life ever with other catfriends.

I just lost a friend who looked a lot like that, when i found him he had a very bad injury to a back leg, that was almost 16 years ago, he was about a year old then. Chester lived a long and healthy life. Thank you for caring enough to help this little guy.
I also saved two kittens many many years ago. My reward was 16 beautiful years together with each of them. I could ask for no better reward, just for doing the right thing anyways! I am extremely sorry for your very sad loss, l am glad tho that you experienced 16 wonderful years like l did, and that Chester chose to spend his with you.🤗💖 And🌹😔 🌹to your beloved Chester. Have we reached the point as a species where we have to protect our animals from psychotic children??? Reform psycho bully kids (before they are allowed to be around animals) and teach them that these are divine creatures who are equally a part of Mother Nature and God's Creation and deserve as much loving respect as much as any living thing.

I too love all the kitties in this world and I sure am thankful that there are wonderful people who have taken it upon themselves to be able to take care of the ones that are in great need and tender loving care after they have gone through surgeries and therapy after their little lives have been hurt by someone who has abused them or the little ones were born disabled and anything else that can cause them to be hurt, we all know that kittens and cats are mischievous and always exploring ❤😊
I have a kitty cat myself and I sure love her and I make sure she gets what she needs and give her loving attention and make sure she is safe and healthy and happy 😊

This kitten is so lucky to have some Human Angels to heal him and love him.
But he was very unlucky to have encountered a vile cruel child devil that grievously injured him and sentenced him to a slow death had he not been rescued. How much of this torture by children goes on undiscovered?

The local vet could not repair the spin injury but with the help of the community, this pup was given a wheelchair for her back legs. Oh did she learn to use it, and she ran like the wind--like a German Shepherd. We are good people when we can do our best to help little creatures in need.

She ws nicotine stained, raspy, eyes mostly shut, angry. ..her teeth were diseased..by time I figured out just time while detoxing wasn't at all why her appetite was finicky from - it was teeth roots rotting (Stomata kind of disease most vets fail at) First vet cost $1,3..I REQUESTED XRAYS AFTERWARDS NOT JZ BEFORE N TOLD THEM THEY HAD TO GET ALLL THE ROOTS.. Nope,returned n was scoffed at "They were soo easy rotten jz broke right out!"/(??!??!!!!!) poor baby def got Worse Couldn't Evn DRINK (BECAUSE ID BEEN RESEARCHING HER DIAGNOSIS ONLINE,I FOUND BLUE LIGHT LASER THERAPY.. IT TOOK TRACKING A VET W ONE DOWN!(RELIEF!! DID n not so far either!

I had a puppy born brech..and his back legs where the same. I took a leash to hold him up when he was old enough to walk
PUT HIM ONLY ON CARPET so his feet could grab. He is now running as it nothing was ever wrong. :) took him to the vet
and she said get him a raised food dish..and he IS FINE.
That kid who did that to Charlie should never ever have a pet, because what he did to that kitten he will do the same to people when he gets older. Why didn't the Parents do some thing about their child being cruel to an innocent animal.🐱🐱🐱🦋🦋🦋💐💐💐🍁🍁🍁🌷🌷🌷⚘⚘⚘

Let's hope he is never allowed to own or even be around other pets. I would say he deserves jail time as well to teach him the lesson. A year in juvenile facility where respect for animals is taught would be ideal, though not realistic in our failed system.

It’s suspected a child did it but the reality is sick twisted adults do this to cats/kittens and very well could be the case w this poor guy
We must make sure kids that have anger issues should not be alone with any animal

Seeing him walk on his own, even if it was wobbly in the beginning and getting better and better, was very satisfying. Thanks to the good people that expended resources and used their skills for this cat.

Animals are so resiliant, they never hold grudges, and always strive to make themselves better and better. Often times when a human has done the damage, they have still forgiven us, and just choose to love instead of being petty and mean, and they would have every right to never trust another human again. But they always give us a second and third and fortieth chance to prove their love was worth it.
Where there is a will... and Charlie is determined, borderline stubborn, hence his amazing progress!

There have been studies proving that nerves can regenerate, even brain tissue can somewhat be regenerated to a degree...I sure hope this little kitty can get some strength back...Thank you for working with this little beauty!
Maybe that could also work in getting rid of paralysis in human beings and that adult stem cells from the same body of a person that has said paralysis in their bodies could also help them to move their limbs again?

It's seriously concerns me that 561 people out there could give a thumbs down! How could not look at that sweet innocent kitten and feel some love and concern that is suffering was caused by a human. Makes me wonder how many animals have you hurt, terrorized, poisoned or even killed?? You seriously have some problems no human being should have that much coldness to their heart when it comes to something so innocent and so helpless. These babies they may be animals but they have all the feelings that we have. They bleed like we do, they breathe, they get hungry, they have all our senses. The only difference is they will die protecting you, if they love you. Yet you won't even protect them from yourself! It takes a real coward to pick on something that's already so helpless and depends on us. You should not be allowed to walk this Earth or breather air we breathe! If you're angry that somebody's abusing you and you want to turn around and take it out on some innocent animals then you're just as bad as the person that's abusing you. That animal could show you the love that you need and don't feel from whoever it is that's hurting you.

It is so touching seeing him use his hind legs to jump on the bed and over the doorway gate. I was sitting here with my cats rootng for him! Felt so much joy seeing him play and run at the end! Thanks for saving little Charlie! He's certainly showing his appreciation. ❤
Sweet little boy. Bless you for taking care of him. He looks a lot like my Smokey. I can't imagine anyone being so cruel as to injure such a sweet little kitten. That child will probably grow up to be a serial killer.

Tears streamed down my face as I watched this video, the true dedication this woman had to help sweet Charlie walk again, was truly beautiful! Just think, if she had listened to that first veterinarian that said euthanize him, this sweet little creature wouldn't be here... So glad she didn't listen.🐾❤🐾

We have a cat named Junior who was found nearly dead as a tiny kitten with one rear leg mangled by a dog. His color and pattern is nearly identical to that of Charlie. We rushed him to the hospital then cared for him at home. He learned to walk and grew up big and strong and now is a wonderful member of the family. All our animals are rescues from the street.
