Father Mark, I found this exact thing out last Wednesday. My beloved brother passed away unexpectedly while he was at work. We are so heartbroken and have not even been able to tell our 92 year old father who is extremely unwell. Please pray for the repose of the soul of my beloved brother, Michael Evans and for strength for my father. Thanks be to God that President Trump was saved.

I live in TN now but my husband and I both grew up in Butler. We lived only a few miles from the Farm Show as newlyweds. When my husband showed me this news I could not compute that it happened in our proverbial back yard. When I learned that this happened last night, I wept. When I learned this morning that the shooter was a 20 year old child whose life was ended, I wept harder. The division, the rhetoric, the fear that has infected our nation. I am guilty as well. My eyes have not consistently been where they should be. For the sake of his sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and the whole world.
Amen. Many of us need to repent of our rhetoric, you are not alone there.

I was a child in the 1960s when most of the nation claimed Christianity. Yet Civil Rights were being fought and in the end MLK a Pastor and Malcome X a convert to the Muslim religion were both taken out.
JFK a Catholic was taken out.
Prayer was still in school then.
Vietnam was being fought. Hippies were huge. Drugs were huge. I don't see this time as any diffrent then that time.

Just 3-4 days ago I watched a video of Fr Altman relating how he got a statue of St Michael to Trump via his son Barron. I was reminded of that while praying The Mantel of Mary Project prayers just now. Truly I believe St M intervened and saved his life. Praise be to God who thwarts the plans of the wicked and protects the righteous.

I have discovered as I’ve aged I’ve joined the cadre of little old ladies in church, reciting the rosary. It’s because we finally come to terms with knowing it ends, and the end is coming closer. Death can come in a moment, and I want to be ready to face my Lord, and when He asks me, “What did you do with the life I gave you?" I want to be able to say "the best I could Lord."
I grew up in that area. I worked in Butler, I went to BC3 (Butler county community college). My parents were there at the rally.
My parents didn't see the shooter, but my uncle did. Apparently plenty of people saw him and nothing was done until after the shots were fired.
I was in Cook Forest when this happened. Yet, I still heard about it from people who had WiFi in their section.
I like to set my mind on what you said Father. Our citizenship is in heaven. Our time on earth is short. That focus, keeps me standing still and stable. Thank you. Lord have mercy on us.

I know other people who had accidents and their life changed forever as well.
They became paralyzed, etc.
