📱 What screen recorder am I using?
I use Camtasia to make all my videos. From my experience it's the best screen recorder available, and I like the built in video editor and cursor effects. Check it out here: techsmith.z6rjha.net/ba9x0M

I can't wrap my head around how a guy who's nowhere close to a century old yet can cultivate an encyclopedic knowledge of this intimidating app. 🤣 Always love your tutorials, Rick. Thank you!
Thank you so much! Sometimes my knees and back feel a century old. Haha
Inkscape just keeps on getting better. Thank you for the videos.
Thanks!!
I don't know what I'd do with out your tutorials! Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much! Working on more!
WOW!! I live in Alaska, and I gotta say that your northern lights are as impressive as the real thing!! I am learning so much, but there are still gaps of course. I got rather addicted to minimalist wall art.. I'm getting better but one thing that is stumping me is how to construct a building.. say a simple cabin or farm house that could be put near the background, to give something of a human presence to the scenics... Everything I try looks a bit cartoonish... No hurry tho!!... I'm really busy getting better at the techniques I've already learned!!
Thank you so much! I was on a minimalist wall art kick for a while. Landscapes are my favorite. If I can get inspired with another one, I'll include a farmhouse or cabin in the view. You're right- something like that adds to the "story" of the scene.
Goodness gracious! Did it take long researching this one? Inkscape is just a fantastic and powerful program. Love it.
Thank you!! I did try to do my homework on this one. Inkscape does all the heavy lifting once we know what to tell it. I love that its sitting there, free for anyone to use.
Hi Rick, thank you very much! I love your tutorials! Very clear.
Thanks so much!!
Your training is amazing. Love your channel.
Thank you!!
OMG! Thanks Rick, I am loving my Inkscape more especially after each one of your tutorials 😁
Thanks!! I love trying out new things in Inkscape and seeing what it can do.
That's exactly my experience! When I first tried Inkscape years ago, I tossed it aside as low-end junk, not realising what a design beast it is. There was no-one to tell me these things back then. I'm so glad Rick is here now, with the help of these tutorials, Inkscape is now my best artistic friend!
♥️ Thank you 😊
Bravo!, I dont know what to say...just brilliant, you are awesome! thanks Rick.
Thank you!! Inkscape did all the work. I just picked the colors. Many thanks!
Please do a video on how you created the background
I should have included it in this one. Ran out of time! I'll see if I can work it into something on another video.
Brilliant! Just wow! Thank you so much sir!
Thank you very much!!
Wow that is insanely powerful! Thanks, Rick. Looks awesome! btw what font is that at the start?
Thanks so much! The font in the intro is Inter. Its a free Google font if you want to grab it.
@@IronEchoDesign perfect, thank you!
Anytime!
Wow! It'll be awesome👏👏👏I'm ready for this challenge😎
It's pretty fun to experiment with this effect. Have fun!
Lovely video, thanks.
Thanks!!
Beautiful.
Excellent! Thank you so much for the video.
Thank you!! I love this community.
You're a great teacher! Could you do a video on how to make a seamless boho/aztec line pattern?
Thanks so much! Patterns are fun- any specific examples you'd like to see?
@@IronEchoDesign Yes! I have a photo of 2 designs I like. Should I email the photo?
Yes, send it over. Will try to see if I can replicate it. johanson dot rick at Gmail. Thanks!
@@IronEchoDesign Sent an email :)
Great, mind boggling how you originally knew how & designed this before recording. Can this be used for drawing person's hairs & animal afur/hairs?
Thanks so much! I think it could be used on hair and fur. That would be a cool experiment to see how it looks- I'll try it!
I didn't try it yet, but to prevent the original Aurora from deforming while playing with a duplicate one, one could try "Object to path".
Totally agree. The problem is Inkscape is buggy with the some of the Live Path Effects. Sometimes it sticks and still applies to the original no matter what.
Thanks for the tutorial, I have a question when I download a png file from Freepik I can't manipulate it like change the color or knockoff a text from it how I can do this?
Thanks! Another good question! Inkscape has some color adjustment settings in the Filter Tab but the best way to work on PNGs or JPEG raster images is in a different program like Photoshop. There are free alternatives like Gimp that can also change colors with ease and mask out unwanted text. Hope this helps!
@@IronEchoDesign thanks for your support. So we can't do something in Inkscape we have to use other programs, I use hoping doing it in inkscape itself
It can be done in Inkscape- just take many more steps and is harder to control the result.
@@IronEchoDesign can you do a tutorial about it please, I know there are easiest ways but my computer can't handle other programs like Ps.
