    📱 What screen recorder am I using?
    I use Camtasia to make all my videos. From my experience it's the best screen recorder available, and I like the built in video editor and cursor effects. Check it out here: techsmith.z6rjha.net/ba9x0M

    I can't wrap my head around how a guy who's nowhere close to a century old yet can cultivate an encyclopedic knowledge of this intimidating app. 🤣 Always love your tutorials, Rick. Thank you!

    WOW!! I live in Alaska, and I gotta say that your northern lights are as impressive as the real thing!! I am learning so much, but there are still gaps of course. I got rather addicted to minimalist wall art.. I'm getting better but one thing that is stumping me is how to construct a building.. say a simple cabin or farm house that could be put near the background, to give something of a human presence to the scenics... Everything I try looks a bit cartoonish... No hurry tho!!... I'm really busy getting better at the techniques I've already learned!!

      Thank you so much! I was on a minimalist wall art kick for a while. Landscapes are my favorite. If I can get inspired with another one, I'll include a farmhouse or cabin in the view. You're right- something like that adds to the "story" of the scene.

      That's exactly my experience! When I first tried Inkscape years ago, I tossed it aside as low-end junk, not realising what a design beast it is. There was no-one to tell me these things back then. I'm so glad Rick is here now, with the help of these tutorials, Inkscape is now my best artistic friend!

    I didn't try it yet, but to prevent the original Aurora from deforming while playing with a duplicate one, one could try "Object to path".

    • @IronEchoDesign
      @IronEchoDesign  Před rokem +1

      Totally agree. The problem is Inkscape is buggy with the some of the Live Path Effects. Sometimes it sticks and still applies to the original no matter what.

    Thanks for the tutorial, I have a question when I download a png file from Freepik I can't manipulate it like change the color or knockoff a text from it how I can do this?

    • @IronEchoDesign
      @IronEchoDesign  Před rokem +2

      Thanks! Another good question! Inkscape has some color adjustment settings in the Filter Tab but the best way to work on PNGs or JPEG raster images is in a different program like Photoshop. There are free alternatives like Gimp that can also change colors with ease and mask out unwanted text. Hope this helps!

    • @IronEchoDesign
      @IronEchoDesign  Před rokem +1

      It can be done in Inkscape- just take many more steps and is harder to control the result.
