Thank you. I'm just getting started metal detecting. I'm also 53 years old. That means that shortening my learning curve is critical. I knew that it was important to do research to find locations for real treasure. I don't want to spend a year searching playgrounds for clad coins learning how to do this. Since I knew that I had to find older areas. Areas where there were possibly structures that have been gone for decades, but I had no idea where to start. My Dad swears that this piece of property that his wife owns in a neighboring town has stuff on it. I am sure that he's right, but I don't want to spend a whole day or two just to find the part of the property with booty. If I use these research websites I can probably narrow my focus quickly. Then I can look like an Einstien when I explain to him the history of the property. I liked and subscribed to your channel because I found a lot of value in your information.
Thank you very much. I'm like you and don't care too much to find basic clad. Well I'm sure this gave you a good place to start. I spend hours researching but the bad thing it most of these old places are on private property which could be good in the fact that most likely it hasn't been hit. Well have fun searching and finding some cool stuff. Don't forget to be a good steward of the hobby such as cover holes, make sure you leave a yard better then you found it and such. I'm sure you already know. Have fun with it my friend!

Thanks for sharing! I can't believe you didn't say Historic Aerials ....
The last time i used that site it looked like i could only go back to the 1990's. I'll look at it more. Thank you for reminding me.
@@DirtBandit 1952 is most often found... You can divide the screen in half and half being for example 2012 and the other half 1952 and when you move the screen it is perfectly aligned.. Hard to explain in a comment..
Do you have to have a account with these web sites to use the features that you mention during the video?
the only one i can think of is Gaia gps but with a link i share its 32 dollars for a year so its well worth it. when you look at the video you will see why. I disclose which sites you need to pay for in the videos I believe. the majority of them are free though.
