No drills were harmed in the making of this video.

I just got a 6 piece Hitachi 18v set, mainly for the impact and circular saw. I tried the circular saw and it cut like butter. I’ve never liked using circular saws but this Hitachi really impressed me.
Just got my dad a set of these I’m sure he will be thrilled.
my dad has a hitachi power drill for 7 years and still as powerful as the day he bought it
Was looking at getting a set after many years. I am between Craftsmen and Hitachi. thank you guys I believe you helped me today
I have a Hitachi 18v hammer drill that is around 13 years old. Been through hell and still going strong. Your test product will be finding it's way to my garage soon. The old one? Time for a good cordless in the barn.
I have a Hitachi 14.4V regular drill that's almost as old as yours and it's still working as good as when it was new. It's not been through heavy use, mostly smaller home projects, but still, I'm very pleased with it. It's got quite impressive power for being just a 14.4V drill, on low gear it's got more than enough torque to twist itself out of my hands if it binds up, it's not a problem to use 100mm holesaws or even bigger with it.
we need more of this tool test,. next from other brands
Great video! I’d like to see some tests geared towards automotive applications.
Awesome video! Do more of these!
Wow what a test!!
This is great! More please!
Yes!
Amazing❤ This information is from PCH! Thank you! GBY Lowe's😇❤😇
Great test! Do one on the Kobalt drill.
I live in LOWES!!! Awesome
fun video. will lowe’s carry those super long lags now?
Awesome video! Crushed it, pun intended.
I love mine, but I dropped my drill from 5 ft and the base broke off from the handle. I called their customer service and was informed that my warranty had run out after one year. The impact drill still runs great but one of the two batteries died only after one year of use.
You dropped it from a height of a human dwarf and it broke?
nice look safe to use get going now.
Nice! 👍 Do one with pneumatic tools?!
the green is a nice color too yep.
Great day
Tool crush test on the RIDGID 18-Volt Gen5X Lithium-Ion Cordless Brushless Hammer Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit, please and thanks
This is a Lowe's sponsored channel...Ridgid is a Home Depot only brand, they won't review that stuff

I really enjoy this video, like how the drill has been tested , because it says a lot.
Now I would like to see you do a test with the DeWalt. I know its been around for years and is it better then the Hitachi drill.
Why would I use one of these over the other? I have this set, should I update to the new triple hammer impact driver? Or the updated cordless drill?
Does it wobble after 1000 hours use?
me and a friend have both lost these drills to gear failure ,, barely 3 years old ,,, I, m not using every day !
so powerful and lightweight. the best you can buy.
since you already drop it, will you give it away to me? :D
I have the same set as yours in the video. Both batteries 3.0 are fully charged. Yet, one battery wont turn tools on. When i place the battery in any hitachi metabo charger, it blinks very fast? Any solutions ?
What kind of floor was that during the drop test, was it wood or cement/concrete?
Cement!
Do Milwaukee drills testing
Mine is still going after three years at five days a week. I install remote car starters and car audio so most of it is light duty. I keep thinking I need a JDM Makita but there is no reason.
It's just a temptation. Your impact is great!
Hi, what model's numbers are for these tools? Is it DS 18DBSL and WH 18DBSL or other?
Hitachi has rebranded to Metabo HPT since this video was released. This set would be the equivalent to the pair in the video: low.es/3SyT254
You should print model number of these tools tested. Don't believe you would get this type of performance from Lowes $99 special they have going on now for two-tool purchase for the home owner. Big quality difference between Pro model and Home models. Home Model # is KC18DGLS Item #: 876683
Model# please?
Yooo wuts with the googly eyes lmao
Does hitachi still exist
Hitachi is now Metabo HPT. Same company, just a new name.
Good review, but I won't be buying it from Lowes! I went in my local store in Chicago to check out some fathers day deals. I saw some product bundles that had the drill, impact driver & saw combos- in the sales paper this Sunday. The products weren't located near any doors and the store also has employees stationed at the exit door to check receipts- which means no one can just walk out the door with merch!
Well... I noticed these green security devices on a lot of these bundled tool packages, and lifted a box to read the contents and other info. Just merely lifting the box caused this obnoxious green alarm to go off. An employee had to come and disarm it. I inquired whether you need an associate to get the product, because it's on the sale floor not a glass case! There was no notice to customers to ask for assistance. He just shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know anything. I just walked out the store with no intent to ever shop there for electric tools or much of anything. This store has just raised the bar on alienating customers. You don't feel like a guest, you feel like an intruder!
We apologize about your poor experience in one of our stores. We'd like to get more information so we can better assist. Please send an email to CareFB@lowes.com and use subject line YT-48. Thanks!
Thanks... will do!
I don't know if a memo was sent out to stores, but I made another visit today and experienced a completely different store. I was greeted by at least 5 workers which never happened in the years I've been to the store. It was definitely a more pleasant experience. Customer confidence restored!
Let's see some m18 fuel
