Because most of the songs can be made into line dance... It's annoying, but fuck it. It's the easiest song to dance to so more people can do it - that's a plus.

You haven’t been out to a country line dancing bar in awhile have you? There’s line dances to much more than just country music these days. Lots of rap and hip hop songs (or in this case pop) have choreographed line dances now.

There are still country song line dances but unfortunately the younger generation prefer the hip songs and the choreographers are using less country music.
