it's actually kind of incredible how no optics company can figure out how to make what people actually want
Like what? I feel that I have too many choices, and because I have an optic addiction, it ends up with me buying too many rifles.
literally all they had to do was make a 2-12 that mirrors the helos feature set except for the china thing
Eotech: "Yeah so basically we created a new budget friendly scope."
Me:"HOLY SHIT IS THAT A RIFLE MOUNTED TO BICYCLE HANDLEBARS?!"
I have a question for optic companies, do you completely ignore consumers, or do you hear us, then do what you want anyway?
That's generally how the government works. 😂 But, regardless optics, how are you not being heard?
What particularly were you wanting? I've looked at the features, and this seems to be a pretty fantastic scope. The LPVO is under 18 ounces. Glass should be good. You want uncapped turrets with zero stop? The most important thing to me in an LPVO is lack of fisheye image distortion at 1x.
@@malcolm777b literally no one asked for either of these Fudd based sfp, moa, capped turret, overseas junk.
The only thing they got right was magnification range. We all asked for a 2-12x? FFP MRAD 🎄, exposed locking turrets, Japanese glass @min, and as durable as you can get while being lightweight
@@theLeadGin I have literally heard nobody asking for the scope you're describing. That's niche as hell. First of all, FFP with a 6x erector means huge compromise on the size being too big at full zoom, or too small zoomed out. Ever look through a Nightforce FFP at lowest mag? The tree is almost invisible.
As for the scope you're describing,
Athlon Helos BTR 2-12 is everything your asking for +1 ounce and totally decent glass for the price. They're not exactly flying off the shelf.
There's NF NXS 2.5-10
Trijicon Credo 2-10 (basically ticks all your boxes with a 5x erector which will be better with FFP)
Leupold MK5HD 2-10 if you can deal without the tree.
USO 1.8-10 has a HORUS reticle, in your weight limit.
RITON has a 2-12 with capped turrets.
Then there's all the 1-10x LPVOs.
@@malcolm777b the Athlon is flying off the shelf though, because it's the closest thing as to what I described. It's downfall is its made in China and durability is questionable. Every other optic you listed is either Chinese garbage or outdated (that includes the "new" outdated leupold).
We need more high quality options, not more low budget options. The only higher quality options we have that don't break the bank, are Nightforce and some of the Razors.
This was a great project to be apart of.
The vudu 1-8 is my fav LPVO ,
The SFP works. If you were shooting a target at 300 yards, unless it was Godzilla, you wouldn't want to keep the scope on anything but 6-8 power.
Ew, sfp?
Love it
Cool but civ OGL plz
Monstrum Tactical just came out with a 1-10 FFP LPVO and it's $250. Why the major manufacturers refuse to make something simmilar I'll never understand.
Because it's Chinese low rent garbage?
How do you think they get the price so low on those scopes
Monstrum is hot garbage. Look through a mid to high tier lpvo and you'll never want to buy a monstrum again.
what would you recommend as an lpvo?
@@jnjr45 for around $250, probably the PA 1-6 nova. At around $450-$500, the Vortex pst 1-6. Around $700-$800, delta stryker 1-6 or credo hx 1-6 (bdc hunter reticle). Above that, most lpvo's have their pros and cons and there's a lot of good ones. Vortex razor gen2 1-6 is usually the gold standard around $1200 (or lower if you find a good deal).
1-6 is usually the sweet spot of magnification range. Most optics still don't do 1-8 or 1-10 very well.
it's incredible how this is almost the opposite of what people want. You got the 1-6x right, that is the sweet spot for good eyeboxes and clarity at both ends. But the people want FFP, bright illumination and perhaps even larger diameter tubes even on optics that aren't 1-10 for the increased light transmission. Leave the budget options to the rest, EOTech, and give us something great instead.
what is up with these mid-range reticle designs... bottom barrel LPVOs have better reticles than both Eotech and Leupold. I don't understand why when their own LPVOs have mil options
Boomers
FFP or Die.
Fudd
no just first focal plane is superior deal with it. @@OReely444
@@OReely444 fudds shill for sfp though.
Did I see a Dirty Bird in there?
Without breaking the bank? Still like 800 bucks for a 1-6x......
Love the eotech exps3 and original vudu scopes are ok. But this is absolutely the opposite of what 90% of the customers want try again with ffp 34mm tube exposed locking turrets with zero stops the magnification ranges are fine would be nice to see something like 4.7-28x56 to but need an actual usable reticle like in a primary arms glx. With ranging reticle Had high hopes, unfortunately this isn't it.
Capped 2-10 with a simple crosshair? No thank you
Unreal, they are hurting their brand. It would have been better to just say they are lowering the price on their current models.
But that would be a lie
@@mitchminteer317 you’re right, what I actually meant is it would be better to lower the price on their current models rather than make cheaper versions of them.
Please make an optic that peps can actually afford… no more $699.00 optics before you even get into mounts, please.
Your Tax money has paid for alot of them. If you knew the government was buying a large quanity of products from you no matter the price, how much would you sell it for? Thats exactly why they cost this much. Nothing to do with quality or anything. You can get the exact same scope from china for 1/20th of the price.
@@JLouis-uf9izthe government buys them at wholesale prices. Nice try though.
@@keyboardcommando5146 ok
Once again another LPVO that's not daylight bright? I think 90% of the people are good on it.
Great, a trash 1-6 when everyone else already does budget 1-6 lpvos better. Theres literally nothing new or better you are offering to the market. Please tell me why i should buy this over other optics cause i have a feeling it wont actually be that cheap with the eotech name on it.
Another year... another no new holographic.
This is mind blowing how badly you blew it EOtech… Really? Users are begging for exactly what they want and your product directors and marketing people should be fired effective immediately. What a complete waste of a launch 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
SFP? No thanks
In 1-6, it’s a better option imo. What use case are you using a holdover at a less than 6x power?
😂
I refuse to buy SFP. An optic with a shifting zero through zoom ranges is of zero value to me.
@@Slay_No_More
Zero doesn’t shift through zoom range.
Hold overs do though.
Why would you want FFP on an LPVO? 😂
Wish they would not dive into poverty tier.. now the trailer park is going to have Fairfield mounted Eotech on a radical or psa 😢 firing a box of wolf or tul once a year…Seems like watering the soup and depreciating the name in my opinion. Also SFP.. nope. Welcome to Walmart.
