On the flipside, some UGC creators have established their reputations by aligning themselves with 'brands' they haven't actually used. This has triggered liability issues and in some instances legal action as such creators have been targetted for promoting brands that have caused harm to consumers. It's critical that as a UGC creator to thoroughly vet the brands you want to promote to ensure they can withstand scrutiny.
Oh, very important point! I'm very picky about brands I represent since they could use content with my face in it for years to come

@@tash_coldlakechrysler6881 As the Russians say, ‘Trust, but verify.’ It isn’t practical for someone to be intimately familiar with every brand. It pays to do exhaustive research on any brand you’re considering partnering with. This is important because through any relationship you will be assumed to represent their values. Any business worth their salt should have a decent digital footprint that would give your good insights on their record in the market.
Ironically 10 yrs ago I wanted to do be a UGC for CZcams but had no idea how to get brand deals. Before it was all about influencers. I am excited about it becoming available now. Im 52yrs old and have lots of yrs of living on this planet & have lots to share about life :)
Just sharing : I'm not an influencer and have gotten brand deals for a very long time . I don't have a reason why I was offered deals. It's all still confusing to me. Here on YT I haven't seen anything that is solid when it comes to earning . Meaning : A clear path for qualifications .

Hey, awesome video, it's packed with tips. I've been creating UGC content for a while now and found that having a tool to help with captions, bio, reels, stories, etc. can be a lifesaver. Have you heard of boost app social? It's a pretty handy app for this stuff.

I filmed a video about this myself recently (a bit more of a template tutorial) but the depth you go into in this is incredible - as usual! I'll be sure to link to this video in the description. UGC seems to have completely taken over recently and I'd say almost a third of my week is now spent on finding people to create UGC content for different brands, and the results/content received has been incredible! There's something that feels just so much more authentic, and the people receiving the products are genuinely happy and it comes across in the content. Great video as always!!

Question: I hash tagged a company and they used my reel & post without my permission on their sight. Both post received 20k+ views. I asked them for product and they said they will consider me for another campaign. I asked them would they provide compensation for reel and they said no, because I tagged them and gave them access to use. How can I protect myself.

they cannot actually use it, do message them about intelectual property.
If You tag them, they can use it! I don't really recommend to tag them, instead write them a message and a video with a trademark

Hey! Simply exclude analytics from your portfolio. While it can be beneficial to showcase the quality of your work through analytics, it isn't essential and a lot of UGC creators don't include this in their portfolio anyway.

Hi Latasha. You mentioned that brands can reach out to you and ask you if they can repost your content on their page. What I have been confused about is that TikTok is known for reposting other peoples content or copying or even duetting etc. How are we able to give consent to brands using our content without them stealing it first? if that makes sense..
This was a really good question. I am guessing that the brand/company would need your permission for legal reasons, as to not get sued for any reason. But again, good question. 👍🏼

Hiya Latasha, love your videos!! A quick question, as a social media marketer do you have to create the content for a client? I have ben told that I don't have to but I am a bit confused on how I'm supposed to create a content planner and schedule when I don't make the content. Hope you can answer this for me, thank you 😊
Yeah it really depends on the client. A lot of people who say you don't have to create it are working with corporate clients or clients that have budget to also hire a creator. If you're working with a small business, a lot of the time the expectation is that the SMM will also create. However, I do recommend adding an upcharge for that. The work you put in will be different if you're creating vs. just posting existing content

If you’re creating content with things you already have from “Client A” - and you’ve publicly posted for analytics. What would incentivize them to pay for your content that’s already being advertised for free?

it can be done on a phone!!just have natural lighting or get a ring light!also Amazon has many aesthetic props for taking pics of products!for example flowers, aesthetic vases, plants, and also an aesthetic background, Home Depot has tiles with diff patterns too!

no, many ugc creators don’t show their face but i recommend to do voiceovers!so brands can know you can do diff video types such as unboxing, reviewing products, aesthetic pictures etc.!
