    Absolutely best review of this watch on the net. My first expensive watch, so I was torn between, Rolex, Breitling and Omega and just placed an order for this exact model and this review helped a lot so THANK YOU!!!

    Great review Thanks, Considering that watch for a upgrade, I already own the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m, non chronograph with Orange dial, XL, and Orange Crocodile band I had it for almost 5 years now it's a non glass back only thing i could recommend is the stainless steel band is much more Comfortable although the orange crock band looks more extremely cool

    This watch is excellent. Heavy indeed. Not noticeable for me, but for my wife its too heavy (she likes to wear 40mm-45mm
    watches herself). It has been through the roughing here and there (i don't wear it all the time) and I have not had a single prob. I like the sweeping seconds hand, so the chrono constantly runs when I wear it. Only issue is if you are outdoors and sweating, that's when the heaviness comes into play, as it will slide around your sweaty wrist unless you wear it uncomfortably tight.

    In 2023 the resale value is a bit questionable. A shop in HK offered me a less than impressive offer for mine, even though I have no plans to sell it. 2.9 - 3.5 Sterling pounds seems to be the range. Perhaps it's the orange. I've also noticed that the non-chrono version can cost around the same used.

    Great review, love that you broke down the movement. A lot of reviewers mention how great it is but never really explain how. Just wish you'd turn the bezel and use the chronograph in your reviews. Watch nerds love little details like how the bezel sounds or how solid the pushers click. Otherwise one of the better reviews of this watch.

    • @the1916company
      @the1916company  Před 9 lety +2

      +ichris2011 Hi ichris, thank you! The movement is my favorite part of the watch, so I wouldn't want to overlook it. When we buy mechanical watches, the machine inside is at the heart of our motivation to save, seek, and pay a premium for a long-term timepiece.
      I hate to write this, but I think the other reviewers just skip the engineering details part because they don't have a complete understanding of what's going on inside the case. I'm a collector and a hardcore watch guy, so I'll only give short shrift to the movement if the watch is clearly designed to excel on some other basis (e.g., a Sellita SW300-powered Hublot Classic Fusion Ultra Thin).

    Hi Tim, I've been waiting for you to review this watch and as always you've done an amazing job! My wish list of watches grows every time I watch one of your reviews. I was wondering if there was an email I could contact you on as I'm planning on buying the JLC master geographic in the next 6 months (I'm putting money aside every week and want to purchase it for my 40th). I'm in Australia and I'm not sure if you only do second hand time pieces or do you sell new as well? Anyway I'd like to discuss this further with you on a private forum. Hope to hear from you soon.
    Regards, Alex.

      +alexcellence21 Hi Alex, you can reach me any time at tim@watchuwant.com. This is my company email, and I check it about 400 times per day, give or take ;-)
      I can guarantee that we will be able to get you a JLC Master Geo within 6 months. We only sell pre-owned, but that means we receive some watches directly from authorized dealers on an as-needed basis. The authorized dealer is the only "pre" in the pre-owned when that's the case. So yes, second owner, but not "second hand" with respect to condition, accessories, or end-user status.

    It's very rare for an extreme depth watch to have a display back. Yeah, cuz anyone who dives that far down won't be wearing their $7000 Omega watch. It'll probably never be tested. They can say whatever they want.

    Looks like hands do not align properly on this watch hour hand shows exactly 4 o'clock while minute hand already passed 12 o'clock Why I have noticed this ? because it is quite common problem with new Omega I have brought mine Omega with 8500 movement Omega Sea Ocean to a dealer, good thing the watch was under warranty they took care of this problem, it took them around 3 weeks ( NY, NY location )

    • @the1916company

      +Nick Pol Hi Nick, our better-quality studio photographs on this watch show the correct alignment of the hands: et-ocean-600m-co-axial-chronograph-diver-ref-23230465101002-46mm
      Sometimes, the oblique angle of the iPhone shots doesn't give great perspective on dial details, but this watch is correctly indexed.
      Our company unconditionally warranties all watches sold against mechanical defects. If any problem arises, we fix it, and we fix it the right way- the factory way. Watchuwant is a Swatch Group U.S.-recognized service center for Omega watches. Both of our watchmakers are certified on the co-axial calibers by Swatch US. If there's anything on an Omega watch that requires correction, we do it with original Omega parts and a full service warranty. Trust me when I say we would never endanger this relationship with Omega by selling anything less than an excellent example. We even have a portal page for Omega-specific service: ub.watchuwant.com/repairs/
