I thought you weren't supposed to eat the salad because it could be dangerous with bacteria? Like rinsed in the water? Is that not a thing?

I have heard that as well, but always presume the resort uses filtered water when washing fruit and vegetables. Have never had any problems. Last thing they way is everyone getting sick.
They provide lots of bottled water in rooms, and there are water bottle fill-up stations by the elevators.
