Tbf Dio lived for generations, his accent altering overtime isn't too big of a stretch. Hell, people who move from the US to the UK or vice versa eventually lose their accent overtime and adopt a local one. It takes YEARS but it's a real thing.

Small correction here. Xenoblade 2 is the only one that's a little spotty, and even then it still has some great performances. Xenoblade 1 and 3 have some of the best english dubs I've heard and I can't see myself playing those games in any other way.
The problem with Xeno2 mainly relies in bad voice direction when yelling happens and that the game tries very hard to be anime-e
Fuckin malos has some of the best in that game and nia is a great runner up. Its really just rex.
@@foxyloafva Rex was awkward at times but the worst gotta be Patroka. Everyone else was decent to excellent with my personal favorites being Poppi and Brighid because of THAT scene.

Okay, to be fair, I think Xenoblade 2 sounds bad because they rushed the dub and didn’t have good voice direction. And if Twitter is the only place you’re getting Xenoblade info, then a lot of it is talking about Xenoblade 2 for numerous reasons. But 1 and 3 are really good!

Xenoblade has fantastic voice acting throughout the series. 2’s is a bit more rough but VA’s have come out about it. Xenoblade 2’s cast recorded chronologically. So unfortunatley the worst voice acting is what you hear as a first impression.
You can really feel that, particularly with Rex's VA, as you play. The difference in quality between his VA in the early game vs late game is wild

Woah woah woah. Slow down, bucko. Xenoblade Chronicles 1 had a GOATED dub. Every main character had a great performance. The English dub was literally better than the Japanese dub. 2 was the one with poor acting, and 3 had some good & some bad.
I will NOT stand for this XC1 slander, though.
I think 2 had no voice direction, it gets better near the end though.
If I remember correctly they didn't even have images of the characters to go off of as well

Bro, what is he talking about? Xenoblade is THE GAME I point to when I want to show someone good British voice acting. Got me interested in hearing British voices in games in general. “It made them sound anime”……FUCKING…SO WHAT??!?! It’s a JRPG with British voice acting. That’s amazing, and the VAs are absolutely amazing in their roles. Especially the VA for Shulk in XC1 and Noah in XC3. Literally my two favorite VAs EVER.
Was confused at first because Castlevania games dont have british voice acting. But then I remembered the anime 😅

the xenoblade 2 dub was known for having some pretty poor direction, the VA's themselves are pretty solid though and as the game goes on and they get more comfortable the quality improves in spades.

I did notice while watching watching Moriarty the patriot in the English dub, and they all had British accents but only 2 of the voice actors of Sherlock and Mary actually had British voice actors

Due to the cast doing the recordings with no visuals and on chronological order his acting gets better later on ch5 onwards is very good with ch4 being the lowest imo but ch1-3 are pretty good

The best English dubs are when you have American VAs playing American characters, like Black Lagoon and Edgerunners. On the other hand, while Ancient Magus' Bride had a really solid dub, it was weird that all these people in the UK had North American accents.

It was just 2. And the reason for this is because the actors got no voice direction during the takes. Look at xenoblade 3. Phenomenal voice acting from everyone involved.
