At this past Awesome Games Done Quick, $1,025,000 was raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. It only took a week of continuous streaming, 18,000 donors, and many many runners to achieve. A big thanks to everyone responsible for these amazing numbers, what a humbling achievement. For comparison, last year's event raised just under $500,000.

Alright, you guys are freaking out about the game, but I really think it's awesome that the developers were supportive and generous even though their game was featured in the awful block.

Perhaps this game was made by someone German? Then the compass would make sense: Norden, Süden, Westen, Osten…. perhaps?
That's exactly what I was thinking. The "O" could either come from the german language or another language where the word for east starts with an O.
BloodofZephiroth Based on what little French I know, a direction starting with O wouldn't be on a compass. It would be confusing to see, just off the top of my head, "100° O" on a map or something.
Well, as a matter of fact, the german word for East is 'Osten'. I don't see what's confusing about that.
BloodofZephiroth Think of it in handwriting. With inconsistent spaces and character widths, depending on how sloppy the writer is, it might be hard to distinguish the numbers from the degree symbol or the direction itself. I'm just pointing out that even though the French word for west is "ouest," it's still customary to use W instead of O. I'd expect other countries whose word for a cardinal direction is O might do the same thing.
I might just be talking out of my ass right now, though.

You are right, it might happen when someone draws it by hand. But usually if you buy a compass in the store, the letters on the face of the compass will be easy to distinguish. The letters will not be written by hand, but they will have the appearance of a specific font, usually Arial or Times New Roman.
Certainly a compass with N, E, S; W would be readable and understandable by a much larger group of people. But it's the game developer's decision if he choses to use the polar coordinates in his own language or not.

They probably aren't professional designers by any stretch of the imagination and thus do not fully understand what makes a game good. I actually admire their bizarre concepts, and their apparent sincerity, even if I find the message muddled and the games to be awful.
