I am from jakarta, the food in jakarta isnt the best per se. But in jakarta you can practically find all food from different regions of indonesia. Jakarta is a melting pot of almost all ethnic groups. But lets say you want to eat the best ayam taliwang(lombok island) you still need to go to lombok. Or you want to eat the best minang food, you will have to go to west sumatra. And what makes jakarta also stands out when it comes to food, is the choice of international cuisine. For the best betawi food(authentic food the jakarta area), such as nasi uduk, ketoprak, soto betawi, you are good in jakarta.
The juice is soursop juice.

Hi, from Balinese who lived in Jakarta, love most of your videos. The way you interact with the locals is fantastic. Tottaly Subscribed!. Oh, btw the vegetable that you eat in the fresh restaurant. I believe its kangkung or water spinach, and no its completely different with cancun in mexico lol, also asam manis on that fried fish means sweet and sour sauce. Keep on making good video my friend, and enjoy Jakarta.

fish is called Nila, Nila is same as Tilapia.
in Japan, not many ppl eat freshwater fish though. but i usually buy Tilapia from Asian online market. Kangkung is Morning glory..

So interesting, ikan bakar the way I know it is grilled fish (usually sting ray) with sauce on the side and lime. Jakarta style looks so good too. As usual you have the best interactions with the locals, and the fact that they invited you to their home is so sweet. When the lil kid asked you for your CZcams, that was honestly so cute and genuinely heartwarming. Wherever I go now, I’m inspired by your attitude - curious, genuine, friendly, open. Keep it up Nick. And come to Malaysia when you can!

Nick, maybe you can consider to go to Istiqlal mosque. It is the biggest mosque in southeast asia. You can see the beauty of the interior, the vastness, and the calmness of the mosque. I'm sure they'll welcome you as they have special facility for foreign tourist. It's best to come there when their prayer time in the afternoon, like 12 o'clock or 3 o'clock, and in the evening, like 6 or 7 o'clock. You can aslo visit the nearby toursim place from there, like monas (monumen national) and presidential palace 😊
