I (respectfully) disagree. His tone was still lovely and he was still perfectly in tune. His voice managed to still blend into the mix. It came across, to me at least, as passion rather than "screaming". It should also be noted that he actually kinda lost control emotionally during this so the passion is real, and he'd definitely be forgiven for any imperfections.
