The creators did a magnificent job with the main casting, Mouni and Sonarika... Both were perfect for their roles. On top of that, the sets were designed beautifully, the soundtrack only adds to the ethereal aesthetics of the show. The costume and makeup artists did a great job as well. To be honest, Mahadev was the one indian tv serial that sparked my love for ancient Indian aesthetics back then. It kindled a love in me, love for my country's diverse beauty, that I was only able to see when I used to watch the show back then with my mother. The gorgeous, multicolored sets of the palaces, Parvati's room for example, makes you wish you could just step into that world... and live a life in that era... Ah, maybe I'm just too sentimental ^_^ I really loved Sonarika as parvati, whenever she came on screen, it felt like she captured my heart with her presence. Her costumes were, in my opinion, the best. I did like Sati's outfits too, but Parvati's sarees, her hairstyle, and her sparkling eyes, even her smile, and her soft spoken voice as well, it's such a treat to your eyes and ears... And I agree, I love the minimal jewellery as well. Kudos to the costume and makeup artists, the set designers, and the actors for bringing the story to life in such an exquisite and elegant manner 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
They were pitch perfect for their roles until sonarika was replaced with Pooja and then suhasi dhami . They both did try their best . Rather pooja Banerjee was good in the role but not like sonarika . Because no one can portray parvati to the level sonarika did . Be it Durga , Kali or the mahavidyas . She fitted marvelously in the role . Felt like the goddess embodied herself in her . Her voice as you mentioned was perfect and sweet .. temper was very similar to the description of parvati Devi in puranas and the outfits were amazing on sonarika . Mohit looked gorgeous as mahadev . No other person in history or future can even dare to try that role unless mohit wishes to reprise it again or something like that . Mouni was excellent as sati . Sati would not have been much different than her . The childishness and all the characters were brilliant . Surendra pal as daksha and Shalini Kapoor as prasuti were awesome too . Not to forget dear sourabh raj Jain sir , who is still known as lord Vishnu in the heart of millions around the globe. These people are blessed to play such roles. If only they could consider to make a remake of the show with the orginal cast back onscreen than it would be the best moment of everyone's lives . They were awesome 😊

I was junior assistant cast selector of this serial when sonarika She was getting very nervous when she came and could not even remember the dialogues. Then I told him that if you remember Lord Shiva, then all your work will be fine, I obeyed and he gave his best and will be famous.
Parvati was so beautiful I remember when this serial was in tv I couldn't fully she her with my eyes . I have seen beautiful ladies but Now also the same. She was something else. My eyes cannot capture all her beauty . She is only actress I think was better than perfect for role.💓💓💓💓💓
