So I was listening to this while I was playing Kingdom Hearts III, messing around with this mode called Data Greeting, and I was placing Sora and Kairi together on Destiny Islands in the sunset. Man, I cried. This remake of the Eternity song is just beautiful.

Oh I got chills listening to this; it's been so long since I've heard this theme. Used to just stay on the title screen listening to the song. I especially love the subtle electric guitar in the back at about 1:24; kind of sounds like someone humming along softly. You've really nailed it!

Those songs don't need to be remade. They are already fully orchestrated. They cannot be any better than they are. I mean, it's pretty much like the greatest video game soundtrack of all-time!

One of my favorite songs. I appreciate what you've done, but I think the cello sounds better and more emotional than piano at certain parts. Thumbs up tho 👍😊
0.75x speed is a godsend.
This piece is on par with Jenova Absolute, oh and The Price of Freedom from Crisis Core. Underrated within the series but perfectly portrays everything great about Final Fantasy.

Beside the decent crappy storyline i LOVED the battle system and their soundtracks xD

For me the battle system was "Fun at first, until I realized how bad it was".
It starts out giving you the idea that it's a solid class-flexible system allowing you to play the game with any combination of classes you want, but once you unlock Berserker, Dark Knight, and Alchemist; pretty much every other class becomes non-essential, and to me that was a major kill-joy.
Gunner should stay as relevant as it was in the beginning, but Berseker does DPS soooooo much better to the point there is no viable way to argue for Gunner as a fair alternative.
I like customization and choice in battle systems, and x-2 had that potential; it just decided to waste it. And I played the game all over again just to confirm that theory.
As I said; I wanted to like the game, but neither it's story nor it's mechanics could justify it for me :/
Derivative MVs To be entirely fair, just about every FF title that gives you full control over classes suffers from that 'dominant strategy' issue. If I recall, Final Fantasy Tactics has it in spades. Hell, even the class-locked games like FF7 suffer badly from power gaps between characters, I think it's just sort of bound to happen with RPG's often times (unless its Dragon's Dogma, in which any class is powerful, though even then there are some real star players) that said though I really do agree with your stance on everything. FFX was amazing, but X-2 kinda wasted its own potential. I still love the character designs, but everything else took too much of a departure. It had the opportunity to be a compelling story about Yuna post-FFX, Rikku is always good to throw in, and Paine is just a cool character, but it fell flat.
