    Welcome to madventure, we're MADison and iVEN (okay it is spelled Ivan, but pronounced like VENture) a husband and wife living the adventure we have been dreaming of, despite the fact that it makes us sound completely mad. For us that looks like traveling full time and starting our own businesses.
    For Madison, a former reality TV producer, the dream is the madventure community, connecting people through travel, experiencing new cultures, and trying the best foods from carts, stands and restaurants all over the world. She hopes to encourage others to follow their maddest most adventurous dreams, whatever they may be!
    For Ivan, a former NASA engineer, it is creating an engineering product that will change the world!
    Travel and food are two of our biggest passions, so on this channel we will be traveling the world, and staying awhile to experience what life is actually like living other places. We're excited to have you on board for the delicious, culture filled, madventurous times that will ensue! Let's madventure! xoxo

    After searching for videos in English, this was the one I liked the most. I want to share with my friends a bit of my culture, all the others were either in Spanish or in English, they were too out of tradition, this one was just perfect for my friend
    I loss my father in March 10 and my friend loss his mother March 11 😢 I’m Mexican and he is from USA I am trying to explain him how we Mexicans live this day, how this tradition makes us feel with our loved ones

      Thank you so much, for your kind words! It means a lot to us to be able to take part in and share these incredible traditions. I'm so sorry for both of your losses, I can't imagine how hard that must be. I am very glad you are sharing this tradition with your friend from the USA. In the USA we usually look at death with sadness, and then try to "move on" and not think about it. I think we have a lot to learn from Dia de Muertos, and that this traditions should be celebrated all over the world. It is such a better way to honor our loved ones!

    I am Mexican and this tradition is the little we have left of our ancestors after the Spanish conquest so we want and ask that nothing or anyone change it distort or want to appropriate it please do not mix day of the dead with halloween because it is not the same are different traditions of different cultures

      Hi! I totally agree, this is nothing like Halloween, and shouldn’t be celebrated as the same holiday in any way.

    Hi, I am glad I found your video. I noticed in a recent comment that you left for Mixquic around noon. May I ask around what time did you get back to the city and did you also use Uber to get back and was it easy to find an Uber to take you back?

    • @letsmadventure
      @letsmadventure  Před 9 měsíci

      Hi! We left around 8pm. We would have loved to stay longer, but we were nervous about Uber availability. A lot of people were just arriving around then, so there were a decent amount of Ubers to head back. The rates had increased a lot compared to our ride there, but that is to be expected in a smaller town. Have an amazing time! That truly is one of the most special experiences of our lives so far! 🤍

    • @letsmadventure
      @letsmadventure  Před 10 měsíci

      @@erika4499 No worries! We ended up heading in that direction around noon because we wanted to experience it in the day and at night! I don't know if it is necessary to leave that early, but it gave plenty of time to enjoy the festivities of the town :)

    Sorry about your grandma, you have 1 year to set up your 1st altar, the following year, you have to have accepted the new relationship with your loved ones, and show them how much you miss them with the offerings in your altar, the food and objects they loved so much as if it was their birthday, it's your message to them, in return, they will wait for you to guide you when you meet again ✌🏼
