Agreed, especially when they start digging in the ground or grab metal cans. You never know what might be living inside and it might be one of the many really poisonous animals one can find underwater

I don't think there are too many jellys that are deadly. I only know of one and that's the box jelly. Absolutely fatal.

Sting rays are mostly pussycats, but if you step on one or hassle it and it stings you will be in excruciating pain, or dead if you have weak heart.

Next time please stay as far away as possible from a stingray that's burying itself under the sand. it's a sign that they feel threatened and if unfortunate enough they'll move to the second tactic of defense which is by their tail.
