Thank you so much for addressing this. I also had drug resistance depression, multiple hospitalizations, for years. It was debilitating. After starting keto for other health reasons it seems like a miracle happened. It was unbelievable that after a week, there were no more dark thoughts, the depression was almost nil. How and why? I don't know, but it changed my life. After telling my psychiatrist, he basically just dismissed my story. He said, or you just don't have sugar highs and lows. Maybe, but it feels so much more than that. There are no more dark thoughts. I wasn't bi-polar, w ups and downs. I had deep dark depression..for years. I was put on every psych med they could throw at me. I no longer am on meds. Keto changed the chemistry or something in my brain. Please continue to do what you do. So many lives can be changed.

What an excellent interview! It gives so much hope. My wife has had schizophrenia for over 35 years and has been on over a dozen anti-psychotics ALL of which had major issues. Over the last 6 weeks on keto her whole life has changed for the better. The voices have gone. The weight is dropping daily. The arthritis is resolving in her hands. I've got my girl back!! Thankyou. Thankyou. Thankyou!

I was left with CPS in 2005 after numerous blows to the head which damaged the "Left Temporal Lobe" from a DV relationship. In the beginning, I was having seizures 6 months apart until they started me on Epelim which I stopped suddenly in 2007 because of the side effects after about 2yrs. This then bought the seizures monthly so later in 2007 I started meds again, usually, the seizures were around the same time of the month when my hormones changed. I have around 2 - 6 Focal Seizures over a few days every month, and I have around 20 - 22 a year. I am now 61 and they are still happening but over the past 2 years they have turned into Drop Seizures, I have had about 7 over the past 2 years. I recently had 3 falls, one where I hit my head on the ground after collapsing and falling backwards, an MRI and a CT scan were taken after 2 of the falls and all is ok. I stopped all meds in 2012 because they were not working. I am refusing the medications at present & have been looking into Neuroplasticity after reading The Brain That Changes Itself, Stem Cell treatment, and CBD oil although I tried a few bottles of the 100% CBD oil through my G.P but will look into other types of cannabis recommended through one of the Traumatic Brain I injury sites. I stopped all alcohol after the first recent bad fall and have been listening to talks about the Keto Diet by Dr Steven Gundry, Prof David Perlmutter, Dr Kossoff and now the wonderful Dr Chris Palmer, which has me now stopping sugar and trying to start a low carb high-fat diet. I have not found any Drs in Brisbane Australia to help but have just come across some talks by Dr Paul Mason in Sydney who is very knowledgable about the Keto diet. I am wanting to contact John Hopkins, Charlie anybody who may be able to give me some advice as I am desperate not to have to start Keppra again.

Metabolic Health Summit is in all likelihood at the Santa Barbara Hilton Beachfront Resort Hotel the hotel developed & run by Fess Parker for all of his life after he retired as Davy Crockett King of the Wild Frontier from Disney ABC. I lived in Isla Vista in the late sixties and my parents moved to Goleta purchased a new home and lived there till they passed in the 2000s
