The All Inclusive 24h Hotel Riu Atoll opened its doors in May 2019 and is situated on the private island of Maafushi. Dhaalu' Atoll (also known as Southern Nilandhe Atoll or Nilandhe Atholhu Dhekunuburi) is one of the atolls of the Maldives. It corresponds to the natural atoll of the same name.
Dhaalu Atoll stretches 23 km (14 mi) from east to west, and 38 km (24 mi) north to south. Out of a total of 56 islands in the atoll, seven of the islands are inhabited, with a total population of around 6694. The capital island is Kudahuvadhoo, located at the atoll's southern tip.
Hulhudheli and Rinbudhoo (Rimbudu) islands, located to the west of the atoll, are islands traditionally renowned for the skill of their jewellers.
The formerly inhabited island of Gemendhoo on the eastern fringe of the atoll is surrounded by a long line of 11 uninhabited islands. The route from Bulhalafushi to Naibukaloabodufushi passes through these islands and can be walked in during low tide.
Dhaalu Atoll Hospital is located in the island of Kudahuvadhoo.
Dhaalu Atoll is accessible through regular domestic flights from Velana International Airport to Dhaalu Airport located on Kudahuvadhoo as well as local ferry services.

As far as the restaurants go, there are only the three at this resort. The one buffet and the Italian and steak restaurants. I did walk throughs of all three. The buffet was good. They do try to mix things up every day. So, it's not the same food day in and day out. So, you'll get some variety. The two other restaurants are very good, but you have to make reservations. Reservations open up at midnight for two days ahead. So, all you have to do is log onto the app to reserve a table. These restaurants fill up fast. So, make your reservations early.

This may seem a really odd question but are there fruit bats on this island...I've always wanted to see some!

It was sunny every day we were there. I started getting windy toward the end of our stay. The staff said that was usual for that time of year.
The lady around the 24:15 mark, did she really put the serving utensil back on the buffet after it fell on the floor 😳 🤣 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
