I’m personally not into trading. Honestly, I’m finally at a point where I’m content and happy with my collection. I have two I wish I could rehome. They’re both lower end babies. Great topic.

The market has become flooded with replicated finished product 😞… All I can do from my end is show and tell with friends and family, or You tube and they are amazed at the difference of quality and realism of handmade authentic art …The public that is educated or ethical appreciates the art and what it takes to create what artists 👩🎨 do (I am not an artist-just a collector) … Trading scares me 😱 unless it is someone that is in my group (although never have done it)… I hope the doll art community grows and always wish the replicated junk finds its way out … Art dolls are an “affordable” luxury -yet as you mentioned -the price of gas and groceries are going up … Ty for the chat you gave
I'm with you. I don't care much for trading. The main reason is I am an artist and I don't really collect them. But I have noticed that they aren't selling like the usually do. I am hoping that you are wrong about this art being on its way out. Because I have a lot of kits I have to paint yet. Great topic.
