    I went trough all the lines myself and i think its better to go for protos. Also, in elder + canna/pengu lines i think you should optimise the play by summoning 2x new lara at the same time (in protos line this is needed to get the 2 searches)

    • @Chu627
      @Chu627  Před 2 měsíci +2

      I agree with protos since colossus was underperforming in testing and I recently decided to cut it.
      The issue with summoning 2x lara is that we need to summon canna/rampengu at the ulti-kimunfalcos choke point which is slightly inefficient if we get hit by Nib on summon. When we have another blank beast in the GY to revive at the ulti-kimunfalcos choke point, then it's more optimal to go for the 2x lara line.

      I usually @@Chu627 dont even bother trying to sacrifice my non-nibiru line in case i get hit by nib. Deck is reall bad going into nib. The "safe" lines with appolousa or gaia are just weak boards. Currently im taking "if i die, i die" approach unless i can make gaia with 2-3 negates and until something better comes along.
      By the way terrortop can make bamnoozling shadow to negate nib, and fiendsmith can make Ddd to negate nib

  • @MoonlightDusk
    @MoonlightDusk Před 3 měsíci +3

    I don't think you need to do the flex search if you always search Wen, even for the elder rampengu combo. In this case, you can just Nochi elder and SBT Lara, SS Hawk (banish Apelio or whatever) and then make Kimunfalcos with Nochi and Hawk for Wen and achieve 2 searches anyway.
    If you want to mess around with your opponent, you can just search SBT Lara and that would confuse your opponent. We are not like Snake Eyes where our plays are very linear and have easy to determine choke points.

    • @Chu627
      @Chu627  Před 3 měsíci +5

      You might be getting confused with the Early Nibiru Line. Wen only gets 1 search in the Middle Nibiru Line while Lara gets 2 searches
      To summarize (Pure RB Lines):
      Elder + Rampengu
      Early Nibiru Line: Wen 2 searches, Lara 0 searches
      Mid Nibiru Line: Wen 1 search, Lara 2 searches

    • @MoonlightDusk
      @MoonlightDusk Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@Chu627 I see. I guess I was just partly basing it off of that one wrong tamer example. Idk if two steeds is worth it these days, but from the Wen route in the mid Nibiru scenario, I just experimented and found out that it is possible to get two searches without Nemeses if you run an extra Ulti psychic in the ED and revive back Kimun from the grave.

    What are the combo lines when we're under Shifter?

    • @Chu627
      @Chu627  Před 2 měsíci +1

      If they Nib us at the Ulti-Kimunfalcos CP under shifter, SBT lara will trigger and give us one body. But we don't have anything in the GY for Ulti-Nochiudrago so we need any extender that gives us a second body on field (such as e-tele) for full combo
      Another option is to go for the defensive (late nib) Gaiapelio line and drop shifter mid-combo when our GY is empty to play around Nibiru. The problem with this is that if we get hit by Nib then shifter is dead but we should still end on our full board

      Are you talking about the early Nibiru line? It's not as common since more people like using Nib at the Ulti-Kimunfalcos choke point.
      But it is still a possibility, and we need to have continuation lines for all forms of play. I've had multiple players use Nibiru early on EDOPro. Especially when I play against them for a second time, they usually try to Nib me as early as possible when they see that the Middle Nibiru doesn't work

      @Chu627  Před 2 měsíci +1

      After summoning Apollousa and tagging out Ulti-Kimunfalcos the only difference is that we have a Rampengu on field instead of Cannahawk
      Send winda to GY with rampengu -> overlay for IFB -> search Flag and Protos -> link into S:P -> Reborn IFB -> link into Ulti-Reirautari -> Banish lara, flag, S:P from the GY to summon Protos -> Add back lara with Ulti-Reirautari and reborn winda -> Contact fuse into Ulti-Cannahawk and search steeds

    Question hihihi....
    Can I apply the double SBT Lara trick in this deck just curious why you didn't use it... Is it because it plays into the nib or just had better options. 😅😅😅

    • @Chu627
      @Chu627  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Double SBT Lara is rarely used in turn 1 Elder + Rampengu combos. Especially if you want to play through Nibiru, you need to reborn a blank beast (in this case SBT lara) at the Ulti-Kimunfalcos choke point to minimize resource loss.
      Tagging out for two SBT Lara mainly comes up turn 3+ to maximize resource efficiency once we already have all names in rotation

    in the standart combo, if they hold imperm/veiler on the link2 eff, whats the best follow?

    • @Chu627
      @Chu627  Před 3 měsíci +5

      The standard combo where we hold Ulti-Nochudrago for later is mainly to play around Nibiru, but we can still do the full combo through one effect negation. To play around multiple copies of Imperm/Veiler you need to take a different line and summon Ulti-Nochiudrago early, but this will lose hard to Nibiru.
      But if they do negate Ulti-Kimunfalcos (in standard combo v1) we can:
      Banish SBT Lara and the remaining Ritual Beast for Ulti-Nochiudrago -> SBT Lara will special one from deck and Ulti-Nochiu can tag out for Rampengu.
      What we summon from deck will depend on our hand but assuming we have nothing:
      SS Winda from deck and tag out Ulti-Nochiudrago into Rampengu -> Use Rampengu's effect to banish Ulti-Apelio and send Apelio from deck to GY. Overlay both for IFB and search Flag -> SS flag by recycling the Ulti-Apelio -> Search Corridor or Protos -> Link everything into Ulti-Reirautari.
      From here, we can use Ulti-Reirautari to add back (Elder or Cannahawk) from our banished pile and use our additional normal summon to summon Lara from hand. Reborn Apelio from GY and we can get 2 searches with Ulti-Cannahawk because SBT lara and regular lara have not been special summoned yet.
      This should end on Protos/Colossus + Ulti-Reirautari + Ulti-Cannahawk + 2x Steeds + (Elder or Cannahawk in hand) + (SBT lara protection in GY).

    My only question is how well does this deck play going second?

    • @Chu627
      @Chu627  Před 3 měsíci +2

      The RB engine is surprisingly strong at playing through hand traps and non floodgate disruptions. The Pure build can usually play 12-16 non-engine, while the Nemeses build can play 9-14 non-engine. And RB is one of the few decks that can abuse shifter. But going second mostly depends on how good the RB player is and how well the opponent knows the matchup.
      For example, this is a replay of me beating a full Snake Eye board without any non-engine:
      czcams.com/video/uE6RZIAwXpE/video.html
      In general, there's a lot of basic interactions such as Elder not being affected by negations, being able to fuse while face-down, Lara and Ulti-Nochiudrago's protection effects that can only be maximized if the player uses their resources correctly. And it's usually difficult for your opponent to spot the choke points of a non-linear combo.
      But unfortunately there are a couple cards that completely floodgate this deck such as lancea or imperial iron wall. Dimensional barrier hurts a lot too but it's possible to push through it with the Nemeses build if they don't have many disruptions to back it up.
      Some matchups hurt more than others if your opponent knows the matchup well. For example, against Voiceless Voice, brute forcing through multiple Sauravis can be tricky if your opponent holds them for the proper time. But if your opponent doesn't know the matchup and choke points, they usually just focus on setting up Skull Guardian and Radiance which is not a problem for this deck to play through. I've also seen them waste Sauravis on Ulti-Nochiudrago which is a complete throw on their part.

      They can't Nib us here because Rampengu's effect has already resolved. The point of flex searching is so that we can ensure that Rampengu/Canna's effect resolves before committing to a search.
      In the (Pure RB) example from the video, if they Nib right after Rampengu's effect has resolved:
      Nochiu banish SBT Lara -> kimunfalcos -> NS lara.
      Now we have a beast to revive back and continue with a variant similar to the Early Nibiru Line. Except that this would be even better since we would be able to end on an extra S:P or follow up in hand.
