there r plenty of old electronic styles that are pretty alive lol. I'd say electronic music is kinda ageless, with just some old genres losing their spot over time to their subgenres (as in DnB substituting Jungle).

I agree with you, and I dont agree to DJ Salvation that "any detuned square sounds like that". At least not this much like at 0:32 cuz lots of plugins use multiple oscillators with different waveforms this can really change the sound. - This sounds really nice but its a bit sad that the artist didn't make it more unique.
